December 25, Alsu Safina). Firefighters, rescuers and a single duty and
dispatching service of the city are transferred to the enhanced duty regime for
timely response to possible incidents in Kazan during the New Year holidays,
said Vladimir Morgunov, the acting head of the Civil Protection Directorate, on
today’s Business Monday.
He said
that New Year and Christmas events with a massive stay of people will be
organized in more than 400 facilities in the Tatarstan’s capital. The duty is
scheduled on the most important facilities of the department of supervision
activities in Kazan to ensure the safety of the festive events. The rest will
be covered by firefighters of the Kazan fire and rescue garrison and rescuers
of the search and rescue unit UGZ of Kazan.
“In
general, to ensure security during the festive events, the necessary group of
the Kazan branch of the territorial emergency response subsystem forces,
consisting of 555 people and 125 units of equipment, was created”, noted the
reporter. 227 people and 48 units of fire equipment from the fire and rescue
garrison of Kazan, 145 medical workers and 75 pieces of equipment from the
Health Department, as well as 83 people and 22 units of equipment from the
search and rescue unit of Kazan, the “Kazanorgaz”, the “Kazenergo”, the
“Tatenergo”, the MUP “Vodokanal”, and other emergency services.
The
organization of communication and interaction between the CMC of the RT, the
service “112”, the SDDS of Kazan, fire brigades, and medical institutions was
verified, noted V. Morgunov.
He also
reminded that a special fire prevention regime was launched in the city from
today until January 10. “There is a ban on the use of pyrotechnic products of
1-3 hazard class (except for Bengal lights and firecrackers)”, explained the
representative of the Civil Protection Department. “Special platforms will be
equipped in every district of the city for using unrestricted pyrotechnic
products and festive fireworks”.
“I ask all
the structures responsible for security to jointly check the clock in the
remaining days”, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan. “In addition to the
Internal Affairs Directorate and the Civil Protection Directorate, the
personnel of OPOP will be involved. We wish you successful work and that the
holidays are held without incidents”.
