(KZN.RU,
October 27, Mikhail Chentsov). On the eve of the Day of Road Transport Workers
in the capital of Tatarstan, the movement was opened after major repairs along
the extended road section on Kul Gali Street leading to the Salmachi village.
Now the throughput of the road will increase by 50%. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor
of Kazan, and Lenar Safin, the minister of Transport and Road Facilities of the
RT, took part in the ceremonial launch of cars on the renovated roadway.
“We
received a huge number of complaints at the city and at the district levels.
People wrote to the “People's Control” and to the President. The opening of the
extended site is a big breakthrough. This is really the road of life for these
five villages”, said the Mayor at the opening ceremony.
The most
complicated work was done in 5 months. At the first stage, a section of the
road was widened up to 6 and 4 lanes. The total length of the site was about
1.2 km. Then, from two to four lanes, the section of the road with a length of
450 m was widened as well. This work was carried out during the most difficult
phase of capital repair, the main difficulty of which was determined by the
need to re-arrange the product pipelines.
“There was
a tangle of problems, not only transport but also technical ones, which were
solved by our professional builders and road workers. Special words of
gratitude to Rafkat Kantyukov, the head of the” Tattransgaz”, who did the
impossible”, said Ilsur Metshin. The Mayor of Kazan thanked his colleagues from
the Ministry of Transport, as well as road workers, and congratulated them on
the upcoming professional holiday, the Day of Road Transport Workers,
celebrated on October 29.
Lenar Safin
also noted the contribution of the head of the OOO “Gazprom transgaz Kazan” and
marked that it was possible to obtain a window for re-building the pipelines
only with his personal participation. “Some people thought that the road
builders had been working too long but the problem was that it was necessary to
halt almost half of Russia. Production was stopped in Orenburg, and our
“Orgsintez” stopped as well. It was a very difficult technical work”, the
minister explained the complexity of the task.
He noted
that as a result of two stages, it was possible to completely reconstruct
almost 2 km of 750 m of the road. In addition to the expansion of roads,
reconstruction of water supply, sewerage, communications, electricity, outdoor
lighting, traffic lights, the installation of storm sewer networks, the
installation of safety fences, bus-stops, road signs, road marking, and others
were carried out.
“The
innovative solutions were also adopted. For the first time, poles from the
polymer were installed. This is a completed site, and we are happy that it will
be a wonderful gift to the residents of our city on the eve of the holiday”,
said L. Safin.
The
inhabitants of the village note that this event was one of the most awaited for
them. They said that the first improvements are already visible.
The problem
of overhauling the access road to the Salmachi village was repeatedly raised by
local residents who regularly get caught in traffic jams at peak hours. In
March of this year, Ilsur Metshin announced that work will begin on the
expansion of the central street, leading to the village, and the relaying of
networks under the roadway in the summer.
The
customer of the works was the GKU “Glavtatdortrans”, the contractor was the OAO
“Alekseevskdorstroy”, and the designer was the Institute “Tatdorproect”.
