The XXXIII session of the State Council of the RT was held in Kazan
(KZN.RU, October 26). The XXXIII meeting of the State Council of the 5th convocation of the RT was held in Kazan. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Mintimer Shaimiev, the State Councilor of the RT, Alexey Pesoshin, the prime minister of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, members of the Government of the RT, and others took part in the session. Farid Mukhametshin, the chairman of the State Council of the RT, held a meeting.
34 issues were included in the agenda, such as 13 republican draft laws, 14 draft federal laws, and 2 legislative initiatives of legislative bodies subjects of the constituent entities of the RF. Also, the deputies proposed to include the issue of the course of studying state languages in schools of the republic in the agenda. As a result of the discussion, the agenda of the thirty-third meeting of the State Council has significantly expanded. In addition to the language issue, the deputies discussed 40 more issues.
Rustam Minnikhanov asked to postpone discussion of the topic of teaching and studying the state languages of RT and the native languages of the peoples of the RT. According to him, it takes time to complete the work, which is now being conducted on this issue. He added that a constructive dialogue is being conducted with the Ministry of Education and Science of the RF, according to the Tatarstan Government Portal.
The question on the progress of the state languages study in schools of the republic, included in the today’s agenda, will be considered at the continuation of the thirty-third meeting of the State Council.
