The Scientific and Practical Conference “Derzhavin Readings” was opened in Kazan
(KZN.RU, September 21). Today, another Scientific and Practical Conference “Derzhavin Readings” was opened in Kazan. The event was held at the Kazan Federal University. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, and Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, took part in the conference.
The President welcomed the participants of the conference and noted that it became a good tradition to hold it together with the All-Russian State University of Justice.
He noted that the legislative base is formed in the republic, which ensures the functioning of all branches of power. “I am convinced that the conference will contribute to legal and literary studies”, added Rustam Minnikhanov.
Representatives of the KFU, cadets of the Kazan Suvorov School, cadets of the Investigative Committee of the RF, students of the Academy of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, practitioners of the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the RF for the RT were among the participants of the conference.
Also, within the framework of the conference, the President awarded the winner of the Derzhavin Republican Prize in the field of jurisprudence. It was Alsu Khurmatullin, the assistant to the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law of the Law Faculty of the KFU. She received a prize for the monograph “The right to work as a constitutional value and its provision in the subjects of the Russian Federation”.
The Derzhavin Republican Prize is awarded to writers, poets, translators for highly significant works in the field of literature (poetry, prose, literary translation), received wide public recognition and created in Russian, and for works in the Tatar language, popularizing the work of Derzhavin. Also, it is awarded to lawyers for scientific research in the field of jurisprudence (monographs), published during the last five years, but not later than a year before the submission for the award.
The prize is given once a year in the amount of two awards, each of which is 200 thousand rubles. One is in the field of literature, one – in the field of jurisprudence, according to the website of the Government of the RT.
