September 18, Alsu Safina). Almost 3.5 million rubles was collected in Kazan at
the fair of good, which was held this weekend at several sites of the city.
These funds will be used to help children with serious illnesses. This year,
children from 162 schools, 309 kindergartens, and 49 institutions of additional
education of the city took part in the fairs. In total, more than 50 thousand
people visited the fair of good. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, noted on
the Business Monday that work in this direction will not stop on fairs and
weeks of good. “The project “Good Kazan” is a priority in our work. It is as
important for us as road repairs, reconstruction programs for yards, housing”,
marked Ilsur Metshin.
Fairs of
good were held in the parks “Sosnovaya Roscha”, the “Kontinent”, the
Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky Forest, and the Gorky Park. Two additional sites were
organized in the agro-industrial park and the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda. In
addition, the first Charity Market “Yardam bazaar” was held in the park
“Chernoe Ozero” on September 16-17, where more than 50 artisans, restaurateurs,
designers presented their products.
The fair of
good was the culmination of the Good Week. Ilsur Metshin thanked everyone who
took part in the events within the framework of the Good Week.
“The
greatest thanks to our students”, said the Mayor. “Indeed, our children,
students are the biggest conductors of development. It’s worth a lot. We hope
that this will become a good tradition”.
The Mayor
also thanked the teachers, parents, all enterprises and organizations. “We have
learned to work with charitable funds, we recognize them and begin cooperation
with them”, marked I. Metshin. “We really appreciate this work and are grateful
to them”. According to the Mayor, the organizers of the events did a great job,
in particular, the Education Department and the heads of the districts.
“The
atmosphere was important. Children must be really interested in it. We began
with timid first steps. And today all schools without exception are engaged in
the project”, marked the Mayor.
He also
noted that it is necessary to systematize the work in this direction, and the
leaders of structural units of the Executive Committee can make relevant
proposals.
The autumn
Good Week was held in the capital of Tatarstan for the second time under the
aegis of the city project “Good Kazan”. The week started with the lessons of
good for first-graders in all schools in Kazan. More than 100 famous Kazan
citizens, popular sportsmen, journalists, heads of large organizations and
enterprises, as well as heads of charity funds of the city, joined the lessons.
During the lessons, the first-graders were given the Diary of Good Deeds, which
will help children to do good deeds during the year.
In
addition, the autumn Good Week launched the advertising campaign “Many good
names”. “Billboards with faces and names of Kazan philanthropists appeared on
city outdoor advertisings and public transport. This campaign will continue in
the future, so we want to acquaint the Kazan citizens with charitable funds and
pay respect to those who are engaged in charity”, said Damir Fattakhov, the
first deputy head of the Executive Committee.
The
anniversary of cooperation with Mail.Ru Group fell on the Good Week as well.
“Over the past year, the number of trusted and reliable funds on the Kazan page
of the service Dobro Mail.Ru has grown to 10. About 20 thousand users who help
with “Good Kazan” collected more than 5 million rubles, thanks to which they
successfully completed more than 40 fees”, said the first deputy head of the Executive
Committee.
In
addition, resource classes for children with autism are among the projects that
are implemented jointly with charitable funds.

Fattakhov said that work within the framework of the project “Good Kazan” will
continue in the future. So, it is planned to open a central charitable
warehouse “Good Hands” this week, created by the fund “Day of Good Deeds” with
the support of the Kazan City Hall.
In
addition, it is planned to hold a resource support contest for socially
significant and charitable projects within the framework of the project “Good
Kazan”. In November, the II open all-Russian forum “Good Kazan: Development of
the Charity Culture” will be held.
