I. Metshin: “6 billion is the normative amount of funding that the city requires”

This became possible due to additional funds allocated by the decision of Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan. The number of renovated streets and yards in the current year will be equal to the volume of the previous two years. Also, repairs of roads to gardeners' partnership began for the first time in many years. Igor Kulyazhev, the deputy head of the Executive Committee and the chairman of the Committee for External Improvement, announced this today on the Business Monday in the City Hall of Kazan.

According to him, this year 175 roads, 340 households, and 46 driveways are subject to the repair. For the first time in the history of road construction in Kazan, a record amount of 6.1 billion rubles was allocated. I. Kulyazhev said that about 80% of the plan has already been repaired (2.6 million square meters).

The warranty period of roads is 4 years. About 50% of the work has already been done by a special commission. Works on the other roads are underway. As I. Kulyazhev said, there are small faults. In particular, the questions concern the arrangement of pedestrian crossings, sidewalks in accordance with the program “Available environment”, settlement of side stones, installation of storm drains.

Works in the yards are carried out under the control and taking into account the wishes of the citizens. The complex accomplishment was carried out on 11 sites: gardening of territory, installation of children's playgrounds, the sports equipment, and benches. “Work in yards will be conducted as long as the weather conditions allow. More than 100 thousand residents have already experienced the positive effect of the changes”, said the chairman of the committee.

Reporting on the repair of roads, I. Kulyazhev noted that since the beginning of the year, 74 streets have been repaired and this work is continuing. The repair and expansion of the road along Kul Gali Street in the village of Salmachi continues. The first stage of the work is planned to be completed before October 10. The second stage, including the re-laying of the high-pressure gas pipeline, is scheduled to be completed by November 1. “The road and transport situation will improve for residents of nine settlements of Kazan and two districts of the Pestrechinsky region”, said the deputy head of the Executive Committee.

Also this year, roads to gardeners' partnership are being repaired. In total, 7 facilities on an area of 30 thousand square meters in 24 garden associations were repaired. “This category of streets was renovated for the first time in many years”, noted the reporter.

I. Kulyazhev said that the list of objects for fixing included the streets with the greatest anti-rating in the systems of interaction of citizens with the Executive Committee. According to him, on the website of the "Popular Front" the most "killed" street is Magistralnaya Street. According to him, this year patching was done here as a temporary measure. Now the overhaul document is being developed, which will be started in the next year when the financing issue is solved.

Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, called the volume of financing and planned work the record one. “The volume of road works financing in Kazan this year is unprecedented. Thanks to the support of Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, and his personal instruction, we will repair twice as many yards and 5 times as many streets. 33 roads were planned, and we will repair 175 ones”, said the Mayor.

Ilsur Metshin marked that new programs continue to appear. “Last year we managed to make school routes. This year, routes to gardeners' partnership. This issue hasn’t been solved for decades”, said the head of the city. The Mayor of Kazan noted that 6 billion rubles is the amount of financing necessary to maintain roads in the fine state, worthy of the title of the capital of Tatarstan. The Mayor called the number of people who use the road, complaints to the Internet reception, the system “Public Control”, and to the heads of district administrations among the main criteria for including roads in the repair program.
