(KZN.RU,
September 16, Alsu Safina). Charitable fairs, the main organizers of which are
children, were held today at several sites in the city: parks “Sosnovaya
Roscha”, “Kontinent”, the Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky Forest, and the Gorky Park.
Several thousand townspeople gathered to buy products made by children and thus
support their good intention. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, who visited
the park “Sosnovaya Roscha”, thanked the children, their parents, and teachers
for their good initiative.
The
tradition of holding charity fairs was born in Kazan 3 years ago at the
initiative of students of one of the schools, who decided to raise money on
their own and transfer them to the A. Vavilova Fund. Soon others joined this
forms of charity events, thanks to which the fair of good was moved from
schoolyards to the parks of the city and is now held twice a year in spring and
autumn. This year, children from 162 schools, 309 kindergartens, and 49
institutions of additional education of the city take part in fairs.
Along with
the fair of good, the I charity market “Yardem bazaar” takes place today in the
Kazan park “Chernoe Ozero”. About 60 designers, artisans, and restaurateurs
take part in it. Each of the project participants will transfer from 20 to 100%
of proceeds to charity in the framework of the “Good Kazan”. The market is open
for visitors from 12 pm to 9 pm. It will continue to work tomorrow.
Several
thousand citizens decided to visit charity fairs and make their morning really
good. As one of the visitors noted, she wanted to make her own contribution to
a good deed. And indeed, the fair turned out to be a large-scale one.
Various
zones were located on the area of the “Sosnovaya Roscha”. Several photo zones
were put at the entrance to the park. Also, the visitors of the fair could take
part in various master classes: for example, cut out a colored sheet of colored
paper or make a plane. Performances of creative collectives of the districts
made a festive mood on the stage.
At the same
time, trade was in full swing at the fair. You could buy homemade jewelry,
knitted goods, as well as useful vegetables from gardens, all sorts of pickles
made for the winter, fragrant pastries, and much more.
More
attention of visitors to the fair attracted the shelving with wooden products:
trinkets, games, hashtags. Ilsur Metshin bought a cutting board made of solid
wood. It appeared thanks to the project “Papamozhet”, which was started by
Ramil Zagidullin, a pupil of the 11-grade form of the school №34. According to
many children, participation in the fair is a responsible matter for them.
After
inspecting the grounds of the charity fair, the Mayor of Kazan greeted all
participants of the event. “Today fairs of good are held by all educational
institutions throughout Kazan. We started quite recently, in timid steps, in
individual schools. Now today, all schools and preschool institutions went to
the fairs”, noted I. Metshin.
“I want to
sincerely thank you for the good you are doing”, said the Mayor to the students.
Special words of gratitude were addressed to teachers, headmasters of schools,
and parents. “Thank you for instilling the desire to do good deeds and to take
care of others since childhood. This is very important”, marked the Mayor.
“We all
want to live in a beautiful, comfortable, and safe Kazan. It is very important
that it will be the kindest city”, said I. Metshin. “Do good, be kind, and know
how to take care of others”, he wished.
All funds
collected in the framework of the Good Week will be directed to the treatment
of two students Arina Fomchenko and Dilyara Khasanova. Arina has acute
lymphatic leukemia, and Dilyara suffers from phenylketonuria. The assistance
will also be provided by funds collected in other areas.
