I. Metshin: “100 thousand Kazan citizens received renewed yards this year”

(KZN.RU, September 12, Mikhail Chentsov). This year, a record number of yards were repaired in Kazan, 340 ones. Just in one season, 100 thousand citizens have experienced positive changes, and this work will certainly continue. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, reported this today. He visited one of the improved yards, located between the apartment houses №74, 76 on Yamashev Prospect and the house № 2a on Amirkhan Prospect. The Mayor talked with the residents and guests of the yard. As it turned out, people from all over the micro-district come here to take a walk.

Timur Alibaev, the head of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts’ administration, and Marat Nuriev, the general director of the OOO “MC “Uyutny Dom”, accompanied the Mayor of Kazan. The landscaping was carried out at the expense of the management company's funds.

Now, there is a multi-purpose sports ground in the yard of three apartment buildings, in which more than 1600 residents live. As M. Nuriev noted, local residents have long requested to carry out work on the improvement of the yard with the organization of recreation areas, games, and sports. Therefore, the management company decided to finance the construction of the site, and its design was implemented according to the wishes of local residents.

As a result of the works, 11 areas are equipped. There are a football-basketball field with polyurethane coating on asphalt substrate (288 sq.m.), a sports area (120 sq.m.), a housing area (35 sq.m.), recreation areas (380 sq.m.), a street library, and several zones for children: a play area for children from 6 years with polyurethane coating (213 sq.m), two play areas for children from 3 years with polyurethane coating (130 sq.m and 156 sq.m.), a play area on 36 sq.m for children from 2 years old. And paths from pavers are laid between the sites. The cost of works amounted to 11.9 million rubles.

Marat Nuriev marked that the improvement of the territory became possible after the implementation of the republican program for the yards and inter-quarter passage overhaul here because the MC can proceed to work on the arrangement of the yard only when the roads are fixed.

Ilsur Metshin noted that the city yards are changing in a noticeable way. “During this year, we planned to fix 180 yards in Kazan, and we did 340 ones, which is almost twice as large. Thanks to the President of the RT, he allocates funds annually. But this year we have received more by to the requests of the residents and ours”, said the Mayor. After inspecting the sports ground, the Mayor of Kazan talked with the locals to find out their opinion.

Ivan Baryshnikov, who lives in the house №74 on Prospect Yamashov for 38 years and is the head of the house, shared his impressions with the Mayor. “I live in this house from the day it was built. The yard has been done unspeakably good. There are a lot of trees here. There are benches, old ladies go out. Children play, they come here from other houses. In the evening, there is clatter and chatter”, said the pensioner. He also told Ilsur Metshin that the locals did not want to fill such a beautiful yard with cars. They set up a parking lot for 31 spots behind the house №74with the help of the management company and at their own expense.

“The management company has done much in addition to the allocated funds from the budget. Well done, you participated in the improvement of the yard. Now it remains only to cherish it. Thank you for this kind attitude to the yard and to the city”, the Mayor of Kazan thanked the residents. Other local residents were also satisfied with the landscaped yard.

Older citizens noted that they have never seen such a yard anywhere else. “We have been living in this house since 1979. Our yard, of course, has become remarkable, just like in fairy tales”, they said.
