R. Minnikhanov and I. Metshin visited the yard holiday in the Sovetsky district of Kazan

(KZN.RU, August 30). On the Day of the City and Republic, Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, and Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, visited the yard holiday near the houses №27, 27a, 29, 31, and 33 on Daurskaya Street and №32 on Otradnaya Street. Residents of these houses received a landscaped territory with a new playground, a work out ground, and a football field as a gift for the holiday. In the near future, residents are going to hold a meeting, on which they will make a schedule of training and games. Today, the Mayor of the city was the first to score a goal on the updated site.

The playground and especially the football field became long-awaited for the residents of the micro-district. Local football players of all ages asked to restore the field. Construction of sports grounds was started this summer.

A new football field of 23 by 43 meters has a modern artificial cover. Even now, games are played on the site: amateur veterans played on the field today. R. Minnikhanov and I. Metshin gave players football balls with their autographs. Footballers presented named game t-shirts to the President and the Mayor in return.

Nikolay Sorokin, one of the old-time residents, said that football was always played here. He reminded the arrival of Ilsur Metshin, the current Mayor but just a student back then, to their team, told stories about the rather tough methods of the game. “Ilsur has always been athletic, alive, and technical. I believe that he is a sportsman inside”, N. Sorokin shared his opinion. According to him, not only he and his team are happy with the construction of the site but also the whole neighborhood “Tankodrom”, in which about 4 thousand people live. “It's unbelievable. Thanks to the district’s administration, the City Hall, and the Government of the RT”, he said. He also added that the football field will not be unused. In the near future, residents will hold a meeting, in which they will make a schedule of training and games.

A new sports and playground appeared in the renovated yard. Everyone was able to pass the GTO standards on the work out ground today. Animators entertained the youngest guests of the holiday, conducting various contests and relay races for them. Older people could compete in table games: dominoes, lotto, and chess. Creative dance groups and singers performed for all visitors.

Residents of the neighborhood were satisfied with the repair of the yard and the improvement of the territory. “I moved here about three years ago. Then it was just awful and scary here”, said Milyausha Nazmeeva, a resident of the house №35a on Daurskaya Street. She thanked the leadership of the republic and the city for an overhaul. “Everyone did very well, built a wonderful hround. It will always be full of children”, noted the woman.

In the framework of the program for the overhaul of the yards, complex landscaping was carried out on this territory: a new asphalt and concrete pavement and sports and children's playgrounds appeared, large landscaping work with the planting of trees and bushes were carried out. In total, 7 houses have been overhauled in the micro-district from 2009 to 2016. The overhaul took place in the houses №25, 27, and 29 on Daurskaya Street and №32 on Otradnaya Street in 2017.
