August 30). The opening of the monument to Hadi Taktash, the Tatar poet, took
place in Kazan today, on the Day of the City and the Republic of Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Vasil Shaikhraziev, the deputy
prime minister of the RT, Asgat Safarov, the head of the Presidential
Administration of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Danil Salikhov,
the chairman of the Union of Writers of the RT, and cultural figures attended
the ceremony.
The
monument is located in the park at the intersection of Salimzhanov and Hadi
Taktash streets. Andrey Balashov, an Honored Artist of the RF, Assiya
Minullina, a People's Artist of the RT, and Herman Bakulin, an Honored
Architect of the RT, were the authors of the project.
Rustam
Minnikhanov congratulated the audience on the Day of the City and the Republic
and noted that the monument to Hadi Taktash was established for the celebration
of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Tatarstan. It is planned to
implement a set of measures to perpetuate the memory and popularize the names
of prominent creative and public figures of the republic until 2020. Earlier, a
monument to Rustem Yakhin, a Tatar composer, pianist, a People's Artist of the
USSR, author of the music of the national anthem of the RT, was opened in the
park on Bolshaya Krasnaya Street.
“Hadi
Taktash is an outstanding writer who made a great contribution to the
development of Tatar poetry. He should be an example for young poets”, said the
President. The head of the republic specially thanked the sculptors and the
city, which picked up a wonderful place to erect the monument.
Then,
Rustam Minnikhanov and other participants of the ceremony laid flowers to the
