The children's park “Kaleidoscope” was opened in Kazan on the Day of the City and the Republic

(KZN.RU, August 30, Mikhail Chentsov). The children's park “Kaleidoscope” in Syartlanova Street was opened in the capital of Tatarstan for the Day of the City and the Republic. Its project was developed taking into account the opinion of the citizens. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Natalia Fishman, an assistant to the President of the RT, and other honored guests attended the opening ceremony of the renewed green area.

The first stage of works on the improvement of the park, the area of which is about 3 hectares, was carried out 5 years ago. This year, local residents took an active part in the discussion of the project. At the request of the residents, old game figures and statues remained in the park and the stage was replaced by the open one.

In the course of landscaping, the work on gardening, the installation of small architectural forms, the renovation of the roadway, the expansion of sidewalks, and the installation of bicycles tracks were conducted. Also, the football ground was updated in the park, new lawns and flower beds appeared, the brushing of the trees was carried out, and the automatic irrigation system was equipped. In total, 94 million rubles was allocated for the renovation of the park from the budget of the RT.

On an opening day, the park was filled with numerous local residents, a dance and music program was organized on the new stage for them. Hundreds of Kazan citizens of different ages came to celebrate the holiday in the “Kaleidoscope”. Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the guests from the stage. He spoke about the good program on public spaces in Tatarstan. “This park has existed since the 70s, it was reconstructed several times. Finally, it was done for both children and adults. I congratulate you all and ask you to treat this place with care”, said the President of the RT and noted that the park will be full of additional equipment.

The name of the park is reflected in stylized sculptures of fairytale characters, benches in the form of colorful cubes, and decorative lighting. Next year the territory will increase. There will be a climbing wall and a game complex for children of different ages in the park.

Ilsur Metshin addressed congratulations to the citizens. “Happy holiday, dear citizens and dear guests of the capital. When we were walking here with Rustam Minnikhanov, he asked “did the whole Kazan come here?”, said the Mayor, and asked to raise the hands those who came to the park from neighboring yards. Hundreds of hands rose in the air. And indeed, residents from all over the capital of Tatarstan came to the opening of the park.

Today a number of other festive events and openings of social facilities, yard holidays, concerts, and sports competitions take place in Kazan in honor of the holiday. An auto-motor show “Kazan city racing” takes place on the Millennium Square in front of the Kremlin, the festival of folk art “Play, accordion” is held in the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda, an equestrian festival is the Kazan Hippodrome, and the concert of the State Symphony Orchestra of the RT, dedicated to the holiday, will take place on the square in front of the Palace of the Cultivator in the evening.
