Rustam Minnikhanov and Ilsur Metshin sang with the Turetsky Choir at the “Song Festival” in Kazan

(KZN.RU, August 29, Mikhail Chentsov). The “Song Festival” was held in the capital of Tatarstan on the eve of the Day of the City and the Republic. The Turetsky Choir, one of the most famous art groups in Russia, performed at the site in front of the Family Center “Kazan”. In addition to the legendary hits, they performed a song in the Tatar language “Tugan tel”. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, and Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, attended the concert. The heads of the republic and the city sang the song “Hope” together with the art group and the citizens.

Stars of the Tatar stage Venera Ganeeva, “Kazan egetlyare”, Guzel Urazova, the duet “Artur and Marat”, and many others performed for the citizens in the framework of the concert of the TV channel “Tugan tel”, before the main guests of the event appeared.

Soon the choir went on the stage, and the head of the republic addressed the residents of the capital of Tatarstan with congratulations. “Dear friends, today is a special day, we start celebrating the Day of the City and the Republic. Our capital is beautiful, the republic is successful. Such guests come to us, a wonderful collective. I want to congratulate all of you on the holiday, wish prosperity to everyone and the whole republic”, said R. Minnikhanov.

The project “Song Festival” can be called public karaoke. Throughout the evening, Kazan citizens sang with the Turetsky Choir, which sang songs that had become favorite for several generations of Russians. “Volga-Volga”, “Charochka”, “Island of Childhood”, “Generals of sand quarries” and many others are among them. The female collective “Turetsky Soprano” performed for the citizens, the soloists of which sang both in Russian and in other languages. A real gift to the Day of the City and the Republic from the Turetsky Choir was the performance of the Tatar song “Tugan tel”.

Despite the cool weather, many Kazan citizens decided to spend their evening at the Chasha. “It's a wonderful holiday. It was very pleasant to listen to the Turetsky Choir live, they turned out to be exactly the same as on the screen”, the young couple Aidar and Ruzanna Ibragimovs shared their impressions.

Some of the townspeople, like Alina Akhmetzyanova, came to the concert after a hard working day. “I have long wanted to dance in the open air, and I had the opportunity to do this to the sounds of my favorite songs thanks to this holiday”, she said.

The “Song Festival” in the capital of the RT was supported by the Government of Tatarstan and the Kazan City Hall. The project was launched in 2015. Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, supported the holding of “Song Festival” in all regions. During this time, concerts were held in 35 cities of Russia and 15 cities of Kazakhstan. In February 2017, the project was awarded the state prize of the Government of the RF.
