R. Minnikhanov gave car keys to the winners of the municipal entities competition of the RT

(KZN.RU, August 29, Mikhail Chentsov). The solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the annual Republican competition among municipal entities, timed to the Day of the RT, was held today near the building of the State Council of the RT. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, awarded the winners of the contest and gave them the keys to 100 new cars.

Farid Mukhametshin, the chairman of State Council of the RT, Asgat Safarov, the head of the Presidential Administration of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Rustam Nigmatullin, the first deputy prime minister of the RT, Minsagit Shakirov, the chairman of Municipal entities of the RT, and others attended the event.

This year, 93 municipalities and 7 municipal institutions of the urban districts of the republic became the laureates of the competition. They were given keys to service cars “Chevrolet Niva” and minibusses “Ford Transit”. Four Kazan institution were among the winners: the secondary school №165 with in-depth study of English of the NovoSavinovsky district, the city center of rehabilitation, recreation and employment of children and young people “Yal”, the integrated social services center for children and youth “Doverie”, (the department “Kamchatka”), the HoC named after V. Lenin.

Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the winners and noted that the holding of the contest became a good tradition. “We pay great attention to the development of our territories in our work. For 7 years, we have given 1670 cars. It is not just a vehicle, it is a status. I want to thank you again for our joint work and wish our country the development, and necessary changes in every village and every city”, said the President of Tatarstan and congratulated the winners on the upcoming Day of Republic.

M. Shakirov said that more than 200 applications were submitted to the republican stage this year. According to him, almost all municipalities of the republic were provided with cars during the contest.

Aidar Shamsutdinov, the director of the school №165said told that the victory of the educational institution in the contest is a great support. “A minibus is always very necessary in school because we have to take the children out on excursions, to a polyclinic or to the military commissariat. I am very glad that we were considered worthy”, he shared his impressions of the victory.

The main criteria for evaluation were the number of localities belonging to the municipality and their remoteness from the regional center (for rural settlement), the volume of housing construction, the implementation pace of programs on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises on the ground, the promotion of citizens' self-employment, and a number of other indicators. The execution indicators of municipal institutions in accordance with the system of departmental indicators were taken into account for urban districts.

The contest is held by the Council of Municipalities of the RT since 2011. Its goal is to increase the effectiveness of local self-government bodies and improve the quality of the population’s life.
