More than 6 billion rubles allocated for road repairs in Kazan in 2017

(KZN.RU, August 28, Ekaterina Andreeva). An unprecedented amount (more than 6 billion rubles) was allocated to Kazan in 2017 for repair of roads. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the Tatarstan’s capital, announced such data today during the program “Theme” on the TV channel “Efir”.

Answering the question of the host Alexey Kuleshov “What Kazan gained this year?”, the Mayor marked the road repairs as one of the main issues of the municipal economy, which is given serious attention. “More than 6 billion rubles is a serious number. We did a lot in the past years compared to other cities with a million population, about 3-3.5 billion. But this is an unprecedented amount even compared to what we did in the past. We managed to do twice as much”, said I. Metshin.

The Mayor said that not only the central streets, such as Amirkhan, Ibragimov, Vakhitov, Dekabristov, Mil’, Chistopolskaya and others were covered by the repair. The repair touched secondary roads, such as Kirpichnikov, Pionerskaya, Ametevskaya, Botanicheskaya, and others, where there were only pit repairs for years.

The Mayor of Kazan also added that the repair of roads leading to the gardening association was launched for the first time in many years. This year, 7 such roads will be fixed. I. Metshin also reminded about the decision of the most complicated question of the road to the Salmachi village.

The Mayor noted that the President of Tatarstan renders all-round support to the capital of the republic. “Certainly, words of gratitude to Rustam Minnikhanov, our President. The attention, paid to the capital and residents of Kazan, deserves words of gratitude. I have something to compare with. I talk a lot with our colleagues, with mayors of capitals and large cities. We are a rare exception when the head of the republic supports the capital so much. It is worth a lot. And I am sure that we will justify this trust of our leader and our colleagues from the government”, said I. Metshin.
