I. Metshin: “Competition for the position of park managers gained interest not only among Kazan residents”

(KZN.RU, August 28, Alsu Safina). The open competition for the position of park managers caused interest and the desire to realize their potential among the residents of Kazan and other cities, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the capital of the RT, on the Business Monday.

The results of the competition, which started on June 22, were announced on August 22. 44 people out of 216 applicants from Kazan, Ulyanovsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, and Yelabuga, who announced their intention to become park managers, reached the full-time stage. As a result of the competition, 9 winners were selected and offered work in the Directorate of Parks and Squares. Another 4 people are included in the organization's reserve pool. Alsu Karyakina, the head of the Directorate of Parks and Squares of Kazan, said that preference was given to those who have professional experience not only in organizing events but in administrative and economic activities as well.

“It is a good competition. The number of participants and their geography amazed. The most active young people, wishing to change the world around them, came to us from the cities of the republic and Moscow”, noted I. Metshin. “There were good candidates who left Kazan, learned, worked and gained experience. I am glad that there is such a keen interest, the desire to work as park managers and to realize the potential in Kazan not only among the residents of the city”. “We will closely monitor their work and help them”, said the Mayor and urged heads of districts to become senior partners for new park managers and actively interact in implementing plans, voiced during the competition.

A. Karyakina told about the plans for the near future. “In the beginning of September, our team will go to Moscow to exchange experience with the directorates of the largest capital’s parks. The program includes the inspection of parks, seminars, and expert sessions of specialists”. “The main task of new employees for the near future will be the finalization of the management concept for each park. It is planned to finish this work at the end of September and form a roadmap for the work of the directorate”, she explained.
