Ilsur Metshin visited the restored Tatar gymnasium №15
(KZN.RU, August 25, Mikhail Chentsov). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, visited the restored Tatar gymnasium №15 in the Kirovsky district today. The building of 1867 is an object of cultural heritage. During the inspection, the Mayor looked into the classrooms, the assembly hall, talked with the pupils of the gymnasium, and instructed to update the workshop.
The overhaul of the gymnasium lasted a year and a half. During this time, the replacement of the roofing and engineering networks were carried out there. In addition, the builders strengthened the foundation, repaired the basement premises and the inter-floor walls. A little more than 47.5 million rubles were spent on repairing a unique educational institution. All works were carried out with the approval of the Ministry of Culture of the RT.
Fanit Harisov, the director of the gymnasium, conducted an excursion for Ilsur Metshin. He noted that the restoration was successful. “It is a wonderful repair. Now it's like a new building”, he said. However, the director of the gymnasium asked the Mayor of Kazan to help repair the premises of the workshop, located in another gymnasium’s building. “The equipment has already been purchased, it is only necessary to make repairs”, said the director.
The Mayor highly appreciated the work carried out in the gymnasium. There are high ceilings, spacious corridor and bright classrooms. More than 300 students can now study in such favorable conditions. I. Metshin also instructed Sergey Mironov, the head of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts’ administration, to help renovate the workshop in the gymnasium. “Do everything at a high level as it should be in the 21st century”, he said. Igor Kulyazhev, the deputy head of the Executive Committee and the chairman of the Committee for External Improvement, Ilsur Khadiullin, the head of the Education Department, Iskander Giniyatullin, the deputy head of the Executive Committee and the chairman of the Housing Committee, and others also visited the gymnasium together with the head of the capital of the RT.
