The Mayor of Kazan believes it is necessary for the schools' directors to report to the parents and the staff
(KZN.RU, August 23, Anton Nozdrin). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, urged for introducing the practice of public reports of school directors to parents and staff. The head of the city voiced such a recommendation at the city conference of educators in the educational and laboratory building of the Volga Academy of Physical Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
I. Metshin reminded that billions of budget funds are spent on education in the country now. And this sphere is the most expensive in the city budget. The Mayor noted that the full support of talented teachers and pupils will continue in the future. “But only the material base cannot make education qualitative, interactive whiteboard and computer will not replace a teacher for children”, marked I. Metshin.
He said that a lot of things in schools depends on the heads of institutions, on the ability of directors to form a team of like-minded people, to build a constructive dialogue with parents, and introduce the most advanced experience. It is the regular reports and the transparency of the entire system that should help make the parents the main allies. “This form of communication will help explain to parents the course that the school adheres to, tell them about the profiles the school is developing, and simply be with them in a live dialogue”, explained the Mayor.
