I. Metshin visited the site of the “Flower Festival” at the Puppet Theater “Ekiyat”

(KZN.RU, August 1, Alsu Safina). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, visited the site of the “Flower Festival” at the Puppet Theater “Ekiyat”. He inspected the compositions presented there and talked to their authors.

The contest “Flower Festival” is held within the framework of the project “Blooming Kazan”. In total, 11 flower compositions, created by the specialists of landscape companies, plant nurseries, housing and communal services enterprises, and the construction complex, are presented on the site of the current year. Each composition is unique. Various elements are used to create a plot: flowers, art objects, buildings, and decor elements. The site of the festival is equipped with pedestrian paths. Benches, urns, hammocks, shade shelters, illuminated butterflies, a mirror labyrinth are installed there and recreation places are organized. In addition, a decorative wall with evening lights for selfie appeared on the site this year.

One of the flower compositions, which can be seen at the festival, was a huge bouquet. The composition called “Le Figaro” is presented to the competition by the trading house “Cedar” (“Imperial Nursery”), a permanent participant of the festival. Designer Ekaterina Shamsutdinova said that the idea of the composition originated from the concept of the festival. Thanks to the work with a scale, the bouquet of flowers, the usual object for everyone, has been increased many times. “This idea is modern and easy to perform”, noted the designer.

The Mayor of Kazan approved the idea. Ilsur Metshin noted that such compositions could decorate the capital of Tatarstan next year when the city will host the World Cup. According to the Mayor, wrappers of such bouquets could be painted in the flag colors of the countries participating in the World Cup. The Mayor of Kazan examined other compositions and talked with the young visitors of the “Flower Festival”.

Various master classes, including from participants of the project “Zhiznelub”, waited Kazan citizen at the festival along with the concert program and the DJ set Lila. The inhabitants of the city were offered to learn how to make a painting on the water, to make flowers in different techniques (fabric, ribbon embroidery). The noise orchestra was located at the entrance to the festival site. Azat Abzalov, the head of the Department of Culture, explained that children performed a composition with the help of various musical instruments in order to call the sunny weather.

Since last week, the activities under the project “Cultural Wednesday” are held in the park near the puppet theater “Ekiyat”. On July 26, about a thousand residents and visitors attended the site during the evening.

This week on August 2, the Second Urban Festival of Pregnant and Young Mothers “I Will Be Mother” will take place within the city project “Cultural Wednesday” in the park near the Tatar State Puppet Theater “Ekiyat”. An entertaining program, master classes, charity fair, and consultations of experts are prepared for the participants of the festival.

The site of the “Flower Festival” is open to residents and guests of the city.

Igor Kulyazhev, the deputy head of the Executive Committee and the chairman of the Committee for External Improvement, and heads of districts’ administrations visited the festival site together with the Mayor.
