(KZN.RU,
July 31, Zilya Gayfi). The first weekend of August in the capital of Tatarstan
will open by the gastronomic festival “Delicious Kazan”. The main summer city
picnic, dedicated to the development of the food culture, will gather more than
50 leading facilities of Kazan and other Russian cities near the Family Center
“Kazan”. Daria Sannikova, the director of the Tourism Promotion Committee, told
about the program of the festival at today’s Business Monday in the City Hall.
This year,
“Delicious Kazan” will move from Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda to the festival venue
near the Family Center “Kazan”. The scale of the festival will expand
significantly. “The festival will be divided into several thematic areas: all
the diversity of the national Tatar cuisine will be presented on the territory
of the central section “Delicious Tatarstan”. In other areas, visitors can get
acquainted with the dishes of Georgian, Greek, Mexican, and original cuisine,
learn about trends in fast food, as well as molecular and exotic cuisine. More
than 50 leading facilities are announced as the festival participants. In
addition to the Kazan, there are participants from other cities, such as
Vologda, Chelyabinsk, Almetievsk, and others”, said Daria Sannikova.
Also, the
market of farm products, food trucks for healthy nutrition, eco products, and
original concepts by small culinary shops of the city are among the novelties
of the festival.
Traditionally,
an interactive area with culinary master classes, educational projects,
entertainment for children, and a concert of musical bands will diversify the
gastronomic program of the festival. The house of Tatar cuisine will present
the museum in honor of the anniversary of Yunus Akhmetzyanov, which will be
dedicated to the work of an outstanding culinary expert, as well as a master
class on the preparation of the chak-chak on the first day of the festival.
“Yunus
Ahmetzyanov is our pride even since the times of the Soviet public catering.
Few people know that the great amount of Tatar national cuisine dishes came
from him. His recipes are famous all over Russia and the CIS. It is important
that we carry out such activities through the prism of enlightenment. The more
such events there are, the more beautiful will be our summer festival palette.
There will be more tourists and residents who happily come to the renovated
parks and squares with families. We set such task for us: to fill our public
spaces with life, interesting events. We will continue to work on this”, said
Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan.
