The Cabinet of Ministers of the RT approved a number of projects for the construction and reconstruction in Kazan

(KZN.RU, July 4). Today, a number of projects were approved at the meeting of the interdepartmental commission of the RT on issues of urban development in historical settlements. The meeting was held in the Government House of the RT under the chairmanship of Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, took part in the event.

Tatiana Prokofieva, the chief architect of Kazan, represented the projects.

The first was the project to reconstruct a residential building on Mushtari Street (intersection with Shchapov Street), where the redevelopment of one of the residential apartments (facade part) is planned.

The next project was an individual residential 2-storey building on Brusov Street. The building is located on the territory of the historical settlement of the Admiralteiskaya Sloboda. So it was required to agree on the implementation of the construction project. The project was also approved.

The project for the construction of a residential 6-storey building on Sary Sadikova Street with built-in public facilities also did not get criticism from members of the interdepartmental commission.

The following two construction projects have also received approval: a residential building with a variable number of storeys (4-5 floors) on Stolbova Street and a 6-storey residential building on Spartakovskaya Street.

The reconstruction of an environmental object, a house №13/34 at the corner of Mayakovsky and Butlerov streets, was also approved.

Further, the reconstruction of the administrative building on Peterburgskaya Street with the preservation of details and the use of the original project was approved. According to Olesya Baltusova, an assistant to the President of the RT, this project was a good solution.

The following projects for consideration and approval were such as the construction of a spiritual center at St. Barbara's church (K. Marx, 67) and the restoration of an auxiliary room for the storage of sports equipment of the school “Solntse” (Kavi Najmi, 18).

The project for the construction of a sewage pumping station “Zarechnaya” in the Kirovsky district of Kazan provides for the creation of an observation deck. It was approved by the members of the commission. Rustam Minnikhanov positively assessed the creation of an observation deck.

The last project was the construction of one of the objects on the territory of the residential complex “Art City” (Sovetsky district of Kazan, the complex of the former artillery military school town). The investor company intends to demolish three of the four existing buildings for the further construction of the shopping center (the buildings face Ershov Street).

After the discussion, which did not lead to a consensus, it was decided to consider the project in more detail. It was taken into account that the buildings, intended for demolition, are not historical monuments. Rustam Minnikhanov suggested leaving one of the buildings for further reconstruction (at the expense of the investor) and opening a children's leisure center in the building, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
