The project of restoration of the Kazan historic quarter was approved
(KZN.RU, July 4). The restoration project of the Kazan historic quarter within the streets Rakhmatullin – Kavi Najmi – Profsoyuznaya – Musa Jalil was presented today by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT.
The presentation took place in the Government House of the RT. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Olesya Baltusova, an assistant to the President of the RT, Tatiana Prokofieva, the chief architect of Kazan, and others took part in it.
Earlier, the company “Ak Bars Development” was instructed to prepare a project for the restoration of this historic quarter of Kazan.
Marcel Iskandarov, the chief architect of the OOO “Studia Komplect”, presented the architectural and conceptual proposal for the reconstruction. He noted that this historic quarter is unique for Kazan for it contains several architectural monuments.
It is proposed to restore the objects of cultural heritage within the framework of the project, as well as to reconstruct their wings and yards.
Functionally, the project provides the creation of two residential compounds and office premises.
An object of federal significance, a house in which Nikolay Bauman was born and lived in 1873, the object of republican significance “Piskunov's House, 1841”, an object of cultural heritage of federal (all-Russian) significance “Hotel of Assembly of Nobility ”, the XVIII century, and other historical objects are located on the territory of this historic quarter.
The project of restoration and reconstruction of buildings, presented in the historic quarter of Kazan within the borders of streets Rahmatullin – Kavi Najmi – Profsoyuznaya – Musa Jalil, was approved.
Rustam Minnikhanov marked that the main thing is to preserve the integrity of the district. “It is necessary to preserve what is left. First of all, it is necessary to determine, which objects will be restored in the first place. Historical monuments should be restored as much as possible and adapted to modern usage”, the press service of the President of the RT quotes R. Minnikhanov.
