July 3, Alsu Safina). Almost 130 resumes from applicants for the position of
park managers in Kazan came in the open competition. In total, 11 managers will
be selected. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, believes that a great
competition is a good starting point for selection.
“It is
important to collect people who understand that the park is an economy, an
accomplishment, and cleanliness”, said the Mayor. “Of course, there must be
creative people. The wider and brighter the palette, the more interesting it
will be to see how every one of applicant works”. According to I. Metshin,
since the post of park manager is new positon for Kazan, the experience of
Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities should be studied. It will be useful in
order to bring this work in the capital of Tatarstan in the high level.
Alsu
Karyakina, the head of the Parks and Squares Directorate, said at the Business
Monday, that representatives of creative professions with organizational skills
and experience in the industry, beginners and experienced architects from the
portfolio of projects, implemented in different cities of Russia, experts with
experience in administrative and economic activities, representing large
enterprises of Kazan and Tatarstan, are among those who sent their resumes.
“Not only
the residents of Kazan, but also those young specialists who received education
here and then moved to Moscow or elsewhere, were announced to participate in
the competitive selection. Now they are ready to return to an interesting work
related to the development of urban public spaces”, said A. Karyakina.
The search
of park managers for eleven Kazan parks and public squares is carried out in
stages. After the reception of the resume from the candidates ends, the next
stage will start. Applicants need to present concepts for the development of
urban public spaces by the example of one park or square. Also on July 7,
Marina Lyulchuk, the director of the Moscow Gorky Park, will give a lecture to
the applicants for the position of park managers.
2 weeks
will be given to the participants of the completion for preparing of the presentation.
On July 24, the full-time stage will be held, at which the candidates will
present the concepts of urban public spaces development. Participants also have
to solve themed cases, for example, to simulate the procedure for actions in
the event of a crisis situation in the parks and squares that they manage.
The jury,
which will assess the presentations of participants, included Natalia Fishman,
an assistant to the President of the RT, Damir Fattakhov, the first deputy head
of the Executive Committee, and experts in the management of public spaces.
Managers
will be chosen for the Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky forest, the Sosnovaya Roscha, the
Uritsky Park, the “Krylya Sovetov”, Pobedy Park, the Family Center “Kazan”, the
“Chernoe Ozero”, the Gorky Park, the Aksenov Square, Derbyshki Square, and the
Lyadskoy Garden. Young men and women with higher education who are ready to
work for the result in a team of like-minded persons can take part in the
