(KZN.RU,
April 24, Mikhail Chentsov). A citywide subbotnik will be held on April 29 in
Kazan, in which citizens and employees of two thousand different enterprises
and institutions will take part. Igor Kulyazhev, the deputy head of the
Executive Committee and the chairman of the Committee for External Improvement,
reported this at the traditional staff meeting in the Kazan City Hall.
According
to the speaker, this year, as well as in the last two years, the main accent of
the subbotnik will be made on cleaning coastal water protection zones, as well
as urban parks. The plots are defined in each district where large-scale works
will be carried out for sanitary cleaning of such territories as parks on the
streets Parin and Dubravnaya, coastal zones along Lake Kaban and the Kazanka
River (on Gavrilov Street), the Troitsky forest, the Berezovye groves located
in Privolzhsky and Sovetsky districts. Also, cleaning in all yard areas will be
organized.
I.
Kulyazhev noted that the structural units of the Kazan Executive Committee
together with the Ministry of Forestry of the RT will be cleaning the stretch
of the Russo-German Switzerland territory, from the Millennium bridge towards
the Sovetsky district, and along the Kazanka River in the area of the stadium
“Kazan Arena”.
“We plan
that more than 50 thousand people, two thousand different enterprises and
institutions will take part in a citywide subbotnik, more than 600 units of
various equipment will be used”, he concluded. The necessary equipment will be
provided to everyone who wishes to participate in the subbotnik.
Ilsur
Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, noted that cleaning in the city does not take
place in one day. Therefore, despite the fact that contractors and management
companies are beginning to clean up the territories as soon as the snow melts,
much work remains to be done. “There are a large number of areas which we
cannot do without the help of our citizens, students, and workers of industrial
enterprises. Therefore, I invite everyone to take part in the subbotnik, to clean
up our city, to make it pleasant, first of all, for ourselves”, said the Mayor.
The head of
the city added that participation in the subbotnik includes also a large
educational process. “It is the best example when children see how parents
clean the area around the house”, noted I. Metshin.
In
conclusion, the Mayor of Kazan shared his impressions of walking around the
city last weekend. During the bypass of the city’s streets, the head of Kazan
noted a number of positive and negative moments. “Of course, the work is
visible. There was no unauthorized trade on the entire Bauman Street, except
for two places”, said the Mayor. In addition, I. Metshin urged the owners of
buildings, facilities, structures in Kazan to eliminate minor defects: to paint
rusty fences, to wash showcases, to put in order entrance groups, etc.
Also, the
Mayor said that he unplanned checked the public transport work and ride the
trolleybus №3 from the Leninsky garden. The head of the city positively
assessed the culture of service but was dissatisfied with the appearance of the
conductor, who was dressed in tights, and mud in the cabin. I. Metshin
instructed the Committee on Transport to work out these issues in order to keep
the work of public transport at a high level.
