(KZN.RU,
April 24, Alsu Safina). The flashmob, dedicated to the start of the summer
tourist season, will be held on April 29 on the square near the family center
“Kazan”. This year the fourth Kazan “Bicycle Night”, the gastronomic festival
“Delicious Kazan”, and the street festival “Window to Paris” will be held for
residents and guests of the Tatarstan’s capital in spring and summer. And
rolling on the “Retrotramway”, one can learn about the history of the
Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda.
Daria
Sannikova, the director of the Tourism Promotion Committee, said on the
Business Monday that the event, dedicated to the start of the summer tourist
season, will begin at the family center “Kazan” at 13.45. “This year dancing
ornaments will spread around the Kazan “Chasha” by the forces of creative dance
groups and city dwellers. A gigantic khorovod (round dance) of dancers in
colorful suits, urban communities, and bicyclists will be made in the form of
an ornament from the traditional and most recognizable symbol of Tatarstan -
the tulip, which is embodying the awakening of spring nature”, the speaker
noted.
Kazan is
going to remind of itself on the eve of the season of holidays this way. After
the flashmob, a video will be prepared, which can be seen on all social
networks. By the way, tickets to popular entertainment centers and museums of
Kazan will be played among the flashmob’s participants.
Daria
Sannikova also told that excursions along the Kazanka River and the Lake Kaban
will be launched in early May. Residents and guests of Kazan will be offered
45-minute excursions in three languages: Russian, Tatar, and English.
In
addition, it is planned to launch a new excursion route “Retrotramvay” in June
2017 in the capital of Tatarstan, which will run from the river port to the
railway station and back. “Guests will be able to listen to a 40-minute story
about the history and development of the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda in the
framework of the excursion. Many more surprises have been prepared for the
guests of the excursion, such as, for example, tasting of the Tatar national
cuisine”, said Daria Sannikova, adding that tickets for the tour will be sold
in the tram itself.
In early
June, the Kazan “Bicycle Night” will be held for the fourth time, the route of
this year in the framework of the project “Good Kazan” will be laid at the
places of well-known patrons’ residence of the city. The “Kazan Bicycle Night”
will cover places where its participants did not visit yet”, said Daria
Sannikova.
From 7 to 9
of July, the gastronomic festival “Delicious Kazan” will be held in the capital
of Tatarstan. The director of the Tourism Promotion Committee of Kazan said
that the current festival will be dedicated to Yunus Akhmetzyanov, the founder
of the Tatar cuisine, who would have turned 90 in February this year, as well
as to the eminent chef Jean Paul Bocuse. Participants of the festival will get
acquainted with the secrets of preparing dishes according to the recipe of the
French chef. It is worth noting that French cuisine will be presented at the
festival as part of an agreement with Paris.
Within the
framework of the agreement with the French capital, the street festival “Window
to Paris” will be held in Kazan. D. Sannikova marked that this format of the
event will be held in Kazan for the first time. “The “Window to Paris” is a
public art project, which is a symbiosis of the most active and popular arts
that a person faces every day: fashion, photography, architecture, floristry,
and theater”. According to our idea, several streetways in the historical
center of the city will turn into a sort of pedestrian avenue for a few days,
where colorful events will take place”.
“The start
of the tourist season is the conventional beginning of the countdown. In fact,
we are in demand throughout the year: Kazan is interesting in winter, in
autumn, and in spring. But the tourist flow is higher in summer, and guests
come to us more actively. Therefore, the tasks for the summer period of the
tourist season are more extensive”, noted Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan.
The Mayor
reacted positively to the idea of conducting a flashmob, dedicated to the start
of the tourist season since the city's residents and tourists are active users
of social networks. “People take photos and impressions with them but the most
important impression is from people. This is very important and we must work in
this direction”, said I. Metshin.
