Rustam Minnikhanov met with Peter Ivanov, the general director of the AO “Federal Passenger Company”
(KZN.RU, March 9). Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, met with Peter Ivanov, the general director of the AO “Federal Passenger Company”. The meeting was held in the Government House of the RT.
The parties discussed issues of further cooperation in the development of railway transport, management of passenger rail transport in distant pursuit, and spoke about other issues.
P. Ivanov briefly spoke about the plans for 2017 and the prospects for the development of the Federal Passenger Company (FPC), a specialized branch of the OAO Russian Railways. In particular, the general director of the enterprise reported on plans for the renewal of vehicles, which is associated with the growth of the passenger traffic, as well as with events within the framework of the Confederations Cup 2017 and matches of the World Cup 2018.
Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Artem Zdunov, the minister of Economy of the RT, Albert Nafigin, the assistant to the President of the RT, and representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities of the RT also took part in the meeting.
