(KZN.RU,
February 8). Updating of the passenger fleet is continued in Kazan. 108 buses
"MAZ-203", 22 single-section tram carriages and 70 trolleybuses were
purchased last year. Aidar Abdulhakov, the chairman of the Transport Committee,
reported this to Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, in the annual report of the
structural units of the Executive Committee.
“All the
buses meet the best quality standards with the engine of ecological standard
Euro-5”, marked A. Abdulhakov. The main advantages of the new rolling stock
traditionally are a low noise level, agility and spacious interior, noted the
the chairman of the committee.
In
addition, Albert Mukhametshin and Nail’ Sadreev, directors of transport
companies of the city, said that at their request the producers finalized the
new buses so as to raise the level of passenger safety. For example, new
machines are equipped with automatic, which allows the driver to start moving
only after closing the door to avoid the situation when the bus moves off with
the door open. Another innovation: the drivers will not be able to break away
from the place at once in the second transmission, the appropriate changes were
made to the transmission of new buses to avoid accidents.
According
to the director, they want to continue to work together with manufacturers for
urban transport modernization. In particular, it is planned to provide a
maximum speed limit of movement in the future.
A.
Abdulhakov also said that all the purchased vehicles are low-floor, with
retractable ramps for access for low-mobility passengers. Today, the subway and
buses provide 100% accessibility and comfort to persons with disabilities in
Kazan, trams - by 68%. The capital of Tatarstan is a leader in Russia on this
indicator.
Ilsur
Metshin praised the work. “We have come a large, complex way for 12 years. We
went far away on an equal footing compared to other cities”, said the Mayor of
Kazan. He instructed to continue the systematic work. “It is always possible
and necessary to grow”, marked I. Metshin.
Rustam
Nigmatullin, the first deputy head of the Kazan municipal formation, Radik
Shafigullin, the head of the Financial Department, and others also attended the
event.
