Kazan has bought 108 buses, 22 trams and 70 trolley carriages in 2016

(KZN.RU, February 8). Updating of the passenger fleet is continued in Kazan. 108 buses "MAZ-203", 22 single-section tram carriages and 70 trolleybuses were purchased last year. Aidar Abdulhakov, the chairman of the Transport Committee, reported this to Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, in the annual report of the structural units of the Executive Committee.

According to the director, they want to continue to work together with manufacturers for urban transport modernization. In particular, it is planned to provide a maximum speed limit of movement in the future.

A. Abdulhakov also said that all the purchased vehicles are low-floor, with retractable ramps for access for low-mobility passengers. Today, the subway and buses provide 100% accessibility and comfort to persons with disabilities in Kazan, trams - by 68%. The capital of Tatarstan is a leader in Russia on this indicator.
