I. Metshin: “The task is to solve all the issues of street trade organization before the start of the season”

(KZN.RU, February 6). All the necessary procedures to harmonize the input of seasonal trade objects should be completed by mid-April. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, gave such instructions to heads of relevant departments, commenting on the speech of Ivan Kuznetsov, the deputy head of the Executive Committee on Economic Development. He reported on the seasonal trade in the city for 2016 and tasks for 2017.

I. Kuznetsov said that one of the most important issues is the term of connection seasonal objects to electricity. Nowadays businessmen are offered three different schemes. “The first scheme works when connection to the network on the balance of the Committee of improvements. In this case, the period may reach 32 days. The second scheme is attaching directly to the substation “Network Company” through the “Kazan electrical networks”. It will require 42 days. And the third case, when the connection is carried out through another owner that has a contract with the “Tatenergosbytom”. There are no rules, and the term will depend on the capacity of the owner of the connection object”, said the speaker, referring to all the involved services to help participants in the seasonal trade to reduce these periods to a minimum. “It will be a real help to small businesses”, marked I. Kuznetsov.

I. Metshin noted that all the procedures have to be completed by mid-April, so that the entrepreneurs could get started before the May holidays.

“A few years ago, we dreamed about making our summer sale organized as in European cities, and that Kazan resident and guests can enjoy tea, coffee, try national pastries in a civilized place. Today, the street trade in this format is the city’s attribute”, said the Mayor. “In the light of the upcoming international events to be held in Kazan, we must implement the best international practices in this area in the dialogue with the business”.
