(KZN.RU, November 29). Participants of the first Open Forum "Good Kazan: development of charity culture" begin to arrive in the capital of Tatarstan. For two days, leading experts will tell about the technology of charity and prospects for their development in Kazan. Forum will take place on the initiative and with the support of Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan. The Mayor will also be one of the speakers of the forum.
The forum will be held in the capital of the RT on November 30 and December 1. It will bring together experts of federal social services and charity, representatives of the authorities and Kazan charitable funds, socially responsible business and active citizens. The mission of the forum is the gradual establishment of systematic work on the development of charity in Kazan.
The forum is held by the Kazan City Hall with the participation of the service “Dobro Mail.ru” within the urban initiative "Good Kazan", declared by the Mayor of Kazan as one of the 12 urban development priorities.
The forum participants will discuss which of some pre-existing tradition of philanthropy needs to be restored, how to form a positive image of charity and mutual support culture in the society, the organization of a dialogue between government and non-profit sector, which philanthropy tools are in demand today.
Two days of discussions, round tables and educational sessions will acquaint participants of the forum with the technologies of charitable activities, examples of effective cooperation between business, government and NPOs, and the prospects of charity development in Kazan. Topics performances of the first forum day: education charity factors in the education system, the role of media in the development of philanthropy, motivation and support of volunteers, cooperation between business and charitable foundations and others.
The educational program for the funds will be held during the second day of the forum. Managers and specialists of charities and Kazan NPOs will learn about the tools of fundraising and event fundraising, how to interact with the media and grant opportunities for NPOs, storytelling, features of social networking, financial planning.
Lev Ambinder, the president of the "Rusfond", Alexandra Babkina, the head of the service Dobro Mail.Ru, Natalia Pochinok, the head of the Russian State Social University, Evgeny Gorkaev, the author of “Dushevny Bazar” project, and many other federal social experts will also speak at the forum. Damir Fattakhov, the first deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee, and Elena Topoleva-Soldunova, the member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, director of the Agency for Social Information, will open the plenary session of the forum.
