on the Day of parks and squares in Kazan, which ended the autumn “Good Week” in
the capital of Tatarstan. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the city, attended
charity events in the reconstructed parks and squares, organized by the
students of 43 schools and charities.
Days of
parks and gardens took place in Kazan in September last year for the first
time. The festival program covered several urban areas in the open air: the Lyadskoy
garden the park “Sosnovaya Roshcha”, parks Gorky, Pobedy, Uritsky, Millennium,
and “Krylya Sovetov”, the Chishmyale square, the Aksenov square and others.
This year, the large-scale “Fair of Good” was another test drive for the new
Kazan public spaces and the best way to check the city infrastructure for
entertainment, cultural and sports activities.
Preparations
for the double holiday - the Day of parks and gardens and charity market -
began in the morning in several sites: in parks Gorky, “Continent” and
“Sosnovaya Rosbcha” (DK Himikov), in the square “Zvezdhy” and others.
Improvised trade lines unfolded on the territory of the comfortable
recreational areas where everyone could buy crafts and sweets, made by
indifferent student of district schools. A saturated concert and entertainment
program was waiting for every resident: performances of creative collectives,
master classes, contests, draws, flash mobs and field kitchen.
“The City
of Good Deeds” has been working since the morning in the park “Zvezdhy” on the
Zakieva Street. Guests were handed leaflets with information about the special
project “Dobro.Mail.ru” to Kazan at the entrance to the town, which is designed
to be convenient for citizens to participate in the charity. The Kazan City
Hall and the Mail.Ru Group signed a memorandum of cooperation this week.
Ilsur
Metshin talked with children from schools №15, 22, 58, and 72, gymnasium №20
named after A. Alish, representatives of the hippotherapy center “Children”,
the Derbyshky orphanage and other educational and charitable organizations in
the park “Zvezdny”. The Mayor asked the children if it is the first time they
participate in that kind of fair, and learned crafts, prepared by children for
participation in the project. “It is very good here. Next year we will
definitely participate again”, replied the students. Even the youngest authors
of craft know that the raised funds will go to charities for help the needy.
The Mayor was presented a collection of poems of children with disabilities “Music
of silence”, which was recently presented in Kazan, at the fair.
The
citywide “Fair of Good” was held in the park “Sosnovaya Roshcha” with equal
panache. Here everyone could buy crafts and sweets, made by students of
schools, participate in master classes and charity auction or try the fragrant
rice, with which Sergei Mironov, the head of the Kirovskiy and Moskovskiy
districts, treated the guests of the holiday. As in the park “Zvezdhy”, the
musical program was prepared for visitors. As the Mayor of Kazan noted,
parents, grandparents and teachers of young talents can be proud of them.
“Children are the most important thing that we have in life, and we want them
to grow worthy citizens of our city, republic and the great country”, said
Ilsur Metshin. “Today's event is taking place across the city; we looked at all
the sites. There are no parks, which would look like other”, he said.
Ilsur
Metshin visited the park “Continent”, where the fair was organized for
residents of Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts. The Mayor visited
the exhibition-sale of children's works. “It is great that you do charity”, I.
Metshin addressed to the children. “Good deeds should be done every day”. The
Mayor wished the children to grow up good and responsive. “Kazan will be the
good and well-maintained city with you”, he said.
In
conclusion, Ilsur Metshin thanked all participants of the citywide “Fair of
Good”, and above all, children for their open and kind hearts. “As a father of
four children and as the Mayor of Kazan, I really want our children to grow
good, responsive, and always heard those who need help”, said I. Metshin. “Help
is not always in money, it's in a good word, good advice and support. I am glad
that our desire to live in good Kazan has found such a response. Let us do all
for good in our town and our life would be more”.
Damir
Fattakhov, the first deputy head of the Executive Committee, Ilsur Hadiullin,
the head of the Department of Education, Airat Faizov, the chairman of the
Children and Youth Committee of, as well as district heads attended the “Fair
of Good” together with the head of the city.
All money,
collected during the “Fair of Good”, will go to help children in need.
