The Kazan City Hall and Mail.Ru Group have signed a memorandum on cooperation

(KZN.RU, September 6, Alsu Safina). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and Vladimir Gabrielyan, the vice president of Mail.Ru Group, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Mayor's Office of Kazan and Mail.Ru Group today in the City Hall. This is the first example of cooperation of this company with the municipality, in the framework of which the page on the service “Dobro.Mail.ru” with information about the city's charities and their projects was specially designed for Kazan citizens.

Ilsur Metshin noted that the special project “Dobro.Mail.Ru” for Kazan citizens will bring together the funds, will publish current information about the need, ensuring the safety and the target flow of funds from donors.

“My dream is that everyone start and end the day with signing up to this website and thinking what they did well today and did not have time to do this week and will do the next”, said Ilsur Metshin. According to the Mayor, charity is not a question of money, but the state of mind when one hears the other and feels the need to do something good.

The Mayor also said that all first-graders of Kazan got “Diaries of good deeds” this year on September 1, and now, a week later, positive feedback from parents have already heard.

“I really want us to be the kindest of cities in Russia and abroad. There are no obstacles for that. We have wonderful people, children and everything to achieve that”, said the Mayor.

It is worth noting that the “Kazan is a good city” is one of the 12 priority areas of urban policy.

The “Project “Good Kazan” is aimed to people want to engage in charity, can realize this need”, said Vladimir Gabrielyan, the vice President and technical director of the Mail.Ru Group. According to him, Kazan citizens will be able to choose the method of assistance that is more accessible to them thanks to the new project.

The decision to organize a common online platform for charities, where they can publish information about their charges, and willing - to help them, was made in March at the round table with the participation of Ilsur Metshin and representatives of city and national charities and organizations. The service “Dobro.Mail.ru” was chosen as the site, it has worked out the practice of cooperation with charities, including multi-check of the reliability and transparency of the funds, as well as the formation of spending reports.

The service “Dobro.Mail.Ru” was launched three years ago, and today 97 audited organizations from 24 regions of Russia, including Kazan, collecting donations with it and finding volunteers, and thousands of people are taking their first steps in charity. As Alexandra Babkina told, the project manager of the “Dobro Mail.ru», the charity fund named after A. Vavilova and  the “Den’ Dobryh Del” are among charitable organizations, which are already using this convenient service, in Kazan. Charities “Ak Bars Sozidanie” and “Alpari” joined the service recently. Alexandra Babkina also reported that this year the service has collected more donations than for all last year.

Damir Fattakhov, the first deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee, Airat Faizov, the chairman of the Committee on Children and Youth Affairs, and heads of districts’ administrations of the city also attended the event in the Kazan City Hall.
