The children's music school №5 is being repaired in accordance with European standards

(KZN.RU, August 9, Alsu Safina). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, inspected the overhaul in the children's music school №5, for which the unique project was designed. Now the Assembly Hall is equipped in accordance with the laws of acoustics, new tools, special soundproof doors and special furniture will appear in the school, and first the city organ class and theater department will open at the beginning of the school year.

“I met such a professional, deep approach in two places. The first time was in the Budapest Conservatory, the second time - when Valery Gergiev showed a new stage of the Mariinsky Theatre. And now, for the third time I see it in native Kazan, where the case is carried out thoroughly and carefully. You have pleased me”, Ilsur Metshin praised the work of the contractor, who studied the European experience before starting work.

The children's music school, founded in 1945, is located in the house №43 on Shalyapina Str. since 1962. About 500 children go there. About 60 teachers train them musical, artistic and choreographic arts. Organ and theater department will be opened in the school in the new school year.

The overhaul works, which are produced by means of the investor, started in April. The Mayor was shown the photo of school’s previous state. “I've been in this school and I remember how it was here. Now it is just unrecognizable”, said Ilsur Metshin, drawing attention to the extraordinary design of entrance.

Yulia Vladimirova, the deputy general director of OOO “StroySoyuz” (the general contractor), told the Mayor of the city that before the work was started, they have been studying the European experience. “We have created a project after seeing the acoustic systems, design of schools, talking to architects in France, Germany and Portugal”, said Yulia Vladimirova. “Lisbon was most impressive of all. There is a great public school there, the most advanced on the methods and design techniques. We have tried to learn as much as possible in their methods”.

Ilsur Metshin got acquainted with technological and engineering solutions, which used in the repair of schools, during the school inspection. Hall will be divided into zones, there will be a monitor, on which you can see the broadcast from the auditorium and organize webcast, also there will be a teacher’s room. “Compared with what was here before, it is like you get into a fairy tale”, said Ilsur Metshin.

The Mayor of Kazan was told in detail about the applied acoustic solutions, providing a good sound insulation in one of the classrooms, where the German piano will appear in near future.

The Assembly Hall produced no less impression on visitors, in which there was nothing except walls by the time of repair’s beginning. Now the sound is exceptional in the hall, which will be the base for the Youth Symphony Orchestra, according to the authors of the project. The sound will be the same in the last row, as in the first, and the stage will get a new piano of the famous German company “Bechstein”.

All regulations for the safety of children are met in the implementation of the project, alarm and video surveillance system installed in the school building.

Finally, the governor was shown the classroom, where the organ department will be. Azat Abzalov, the acting head of the Department of Culture, drew attention to the fact that it will be the first children's music school in Kazan, where children will be teaching to play organ. “We get a strong base ‘school - college - conservatory’, and it will lay the foundation for music education of the European level”, said A. Abzalov.

“I am speechless, it is a cultural shock”, said Ilsur Metshin after the inspection. “I think that the work on this subject is a dream for designers and builders, because the investor is giving the opportunity to realize all their fantasies and creativity, which is rare. I look forward to the opening”.

Azat Abzalov also confident that children and teachers will have all conditions for the qualify music education. “We have good educational technologies; however, the quality of the material base was behind. Now, this gap will be filled, and the school will be the driving force and exemplary institution that will set a new standard”, he said.

Damir Fattakhov, the first deputy head of the Executive Committee, Andrei Lobov, the head of Vakhitovsky and Privolzhskiy districts administration, and others got acquainted with the course of the overhaul in the school along with the Mayor of Kazan.
