Celebration of May 9 in Kazan was attended by more than 210 thousand people

(Kazan City KZN.RU, May 10, Kseniya Shvetsova). Celebrating the 71th anniversary of the Great Victory in Kazan took a particularly wide scope. In total, the various events held May 9 in the capital of Tatarstan were attended by more than 210 thousand people. Today at the last staff meeting the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin thanked the residents and guests for responsiveness and activity and praised the level of organization of mass events.

"Yesterday we celebrated the great day - the Victory Day with the whole country. I want to thank the organizers of all the events - that are schools and universities, and businesses in our city. Thank to everyone who took part in the celebration, - I. Metshin said. – I would like to express special thanks to our veterans, who also noted that the celebration this year was more extensive than in the past". The Mayor added that President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the team of Mayor’s Office  for the organization of the celebration.

Perhaps, not only in Kazan, but also throughout the country procession of "Immortal regiment" became the most mass action. It was planned that in Kazan about 20 thousand people will join to it, but in the end over 45 thousands Kazan residents came in the city streets with portraits of their relatives. The Mayor noted that as the column marches new members constantly joined to it, bringing the procession became a truly national. "The whole country united around this action. Residents have experienced unprecedented peace of patriotic enthusiasm. Let this rise will be with us always, so we were proud of our country and cherished memory of our fathers, - I. Metshin said. - The warmth that comes from yesterday's holiday - well worth it. I hope we will keep and increase this warmth".

As the head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Office of Kazan Valery Krasilnikov reported, May 9 celebration in Kazan passed without incident. The Mayor thanked the members of the MIA not only for the high level of organization of the order during the May holidays, but also noted that recently Russian Cup for football took place in the capital of Tatarstan, for more than 15 thousands of guests arrived. The Mayor praised the good work of the MIA, the Russian Football Union in organizing this event.

According to the head of Ministry of Health of RT in Kazan Ilnur Halfiev at all the festivities duty of health workers was organized, on May 9 at the station of ambulance 80 mobile teams were formed. Total in local celebrations ambulance teams helped 30 people, two of them were veterans of the Great Patriotic War, 5 people were taken to hospita, and for the rest the assistance has been provided on the spot. "During the holidays 24 teams of assistance were involved in places of mass celebration, including May 9 - 13 teams", - I.Halfiev told.

Passenger transport work also has been adjusted without interruption - in just 30 minutes after the fireworks all Kazan residents were able to leave the stadium "Kazan Arena" to various parts of the city. Especially for this 70 buses were involved.
