(Kazan City
KZN.RU, February 15). Poetic meeting dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the
birth of the poet, Hero of the Soviet Union Musa Jalil is held in Kazan today.
It began with the laying of flowers to the monument of the poet in the May 1 Square
by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Head
of the Executive Committee on Social Affairs Natalia Grechannikova, figures of
culture and science of Tatarstan.
At this
moment poetry meeting is held in the May 1 Square. Traditionally on this day
the National Museum of Tatarstan holds a "Day of the script" when
"Moabit Notebook" is taken out of the fund and represented to the public.
These immortal works, written by the poet before his death in Berlin's Moabit
prison, miraculously preserved and handed down to the present day, are among
the most valuable exhibits. Only February 15 from 13.30 to 16.00 Kazan
residents have a unique opportunity to see this historical works, exhibited in the
National Museum.
As part of
the commemorative events dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Tatar poet-hero
M. Jalil, February 15-16 International scientific conference "Jalil
readings" will be held. On discussion sites issues related to updating and
translation of historical memory and the feat, literary heritage of the poet, a
reflection of the fate of the characters in the museum expositions will be
considered. This year 50 years from the date of receipt of them in the funds of
the National Museum of Tatarstan are marked. At the opening of the conference All-Russian
cultural action "We read Moabit Notebook" will get the start.
The first
day of the conference will include a presentation of the documentary film
"War of the Unforgiven," directed by Denis Krasilnikov, which ranked
first among documentaries at the Festival of Muslim Cinema 2015.
The
conference will be attended by researchers from Tatarstan, Bashkortostan,
Germany. The daughter of the poet Chulpan Zalilova, now living in Moscow, and
director of the Institute of Caucasus, Turkestan and Tatar Research
(Magdeburg-Berlin), Vice-President of the Society for Assistance to Eastern
Europe Miste Hotopp-Rike (Magdeburg) will be among the guests of honor. The
conference attended by researchers from Berlin, Prague, Moscow and Mustafino village
- "small homeland" of the poet online.
