The annual water consumption is reduced by 4-5% in Kazan

(Kazan City
KZN.RU, February 2). Despite the commissioning of a large volume of new
housing, hundreds of social and sports facilities, water consumption in Kazan
decreased from 104 million cubic meters in 2010 to 91 million cubic meters in
2015. This was reported by the Director of Municipal Unitary Enterprise
"Vodokanal" Andrei Yegorov to the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin at a
meeting dedicated to the results of 2015.
Every year,
water consumption in Kazan is reduced by about 4-5%. "This is a very good
indicator, which shows that the programs of preserving resources, implemented
in the city, work effectively. People began to keep track of how much water
they spend,"- said A.Egorov and added that such dynamics is saved on the
background of the rapid construction of new facilities, including in the social
sphere. For example, only last year 2 km of water supply systems were built for
13 new kindergartens.
