I. Metshin attended the match in the tournament "Golden Puck" at the rink at the centre for education №178

Mayor Ilsur Metshin visited the ice rink, located in the yard of the center for education №178, where in the framework of regional stage of the competition "Golden Puck" young hockey players of the city crossed their sticks. The Mayor talked to the guys, the coach and went out on the ice.

Plastic hockey box with universal coverage appeared in the center of education in 2010, and for six winters children from the neighboring houses gather at the rink, dreaming of sporting success. A teacher coach of teenage hockey club "Kazan" Boris Tsyganov works with students. Today more than 60 pupils of the schools of Sovietsky district are engaged in the group under his leadership.

Strict coach helps children to prepare for one of the most important winter event in the life of beginners - the All-Russia competition of young players "Golden Puck" named after A.V.Tarasov. This season the competition is very high: more than 430 young men between the ages of 9 to 15 years at 29 teams are declared for the tournament. The head of the city caught a match for the third place in the regional stage of the competition in the older age group in the middle. The team of lyceum №121 “21” and the team of schools №171 and №174 “Alliance” met on the ice.

During the break Boris Tsyganov shared with Mayor secrets of successful coaching work with children and talked about the training. I. Metshin thanked the teacher for his work and, coming to the rink, noted the good quality of ice. As it turned out, this is the merit of the players themselves - they take an active part in filling the rink with ice. Already in the stands Mayor talked to the guys, who told how their physical education classes are held, and why they are enthusiastic in hockey. According to one of the guys, location of hockey box played not the last role in decision-making. "The skating rink is open to all - I often came here to skate, then became fond of in and began to do more," - said the pupil of the lyceum.

Kazan Mayor praised the boys for trying to spend free time in sports facilities and interest in hockey. "This is good not only for health, but also for social adaptation, cultivation of a character" - added Ilsur Metshin.

"All the boxes must function, snow must be cleaned regularly and ice resurfacing must be held. We must strongly support and encourage the desire of children to play sports,"- said the Mayor and requested the head of the administration of the Sovietsky district Rustem Gafarov, head of education department Ilsur Hadiullin and Chairman of the Committee of physical culture and sports of Svetlana Vostrikova, who accompanied him during the inspection of the site, to take the organization of work of hockey boxes under special control.

Recall, total there are 20 hockey boxes in the Sovietsky district, and all of them are available to the public in winter. Daily at the rinks friendly hockey games, regional competitions in short track, as well as public skating are held. In general, the city has 80 hockey boxes, where with the establishment of steady negative temperature in early January resurfacing with ice was made.
