In 2016 the restoration of the house of Safa Bakhteev at Tukai street will be completed

Works on interior decoration of "Apanaevs shop" are finished – in a cultural heritage which belongs to the complex of the Apanaev mosque at the Kayum Nasyri street. The historic building has a modern functional purpose - it is planned to place the lecture hall, bookstores and gift shops here. The news was announced during the report of prefect "Old Town" Marat Usmanov to the Mayor of Ilsur Metshin.

In 2015, in the Old Tatar Settlement a major project successfully completed: the reconstruction of complex "Galeev mosque". M. Usmanov added that in the last year the work on the interior decoration of another cultural heritage site - "Galeev House" – was completed.

In addition, building of "Kaushche House" was completely renovated. In the basement and on the first floor there is a studio of artist Rustem Yaushev - owner of the house, while the second and attic is a hotel. The Mayor noted that this building is a good option of accommodation for foreign tourists.

One color and stylistic design of facades received houses №№ 26 and 24 at st. Kayum Nasyri last year. In the house №24 a kindergarten for 2 groups of 20 children, hostel of Islamic college and souvenir shop are located, and in the house №26 - hotel with 10 rooms and a banquet hall for Muslim activities.

At the moment, repair of the facade of Azimov Mosque continues.

In 2016, the lost object of republican values ​​"House of Safa Bakhteev" will be restored. In it, as M. Usmanov said, a hotel will be opened, where the number of rooms will be organically coexisting with the museum exhibit of life of Tatar merchants.

The decision to modernize the museum of G. Tukai in the year of his 130th birthday was important for the cultural life of Kazan. In addition, it is planned to carry out repairs in the House of Shamil, which houses the museum. Now on behalf of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan project documentation of repair and restoration work is being developed.

In order to increase tourist attractiveness and the promotion of Old Tatar Settlement many activities are held.

As M.Usmanov told, now a draft of the first interactive museum in Kazan - "Kazan. Yesterday, today, tomorrow" is under discussing. The main idea of ​​the interactive museum is the involvement of visitors to interact with the exhibits.

Management Company "Old Town" contributed to the development of the territory, it serves the housing stock of 108 houses. In the past year 3 apartment buildings and 5 yards were repaired.

Old-Tatar Settlement is a unique historical area of ​​the capital of Tatarstan, on whose territory 96 cultural heritage sites, seven of which have federal significance, are concentrated.
