I. Metshin: "We need to work under every complaint on the quality of cleaning of yards"

Not only road cleaning machinery works in emergency mode in Kazan - January snow intensified efforts of management companies that directed all efforts to clean snow from the yards and sidewalks. Both manual and mechanical labor is used for it. Mayor Ilsur Metshin praised today how the cleaning of yards is going and how management companies react to snowfall. The Mayor visited one of Kazan yards at the street Dubravnaya.

The inspection was also attended by the head of administration of Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts Andrei Lobov, chairman of the Committee of housing and communal services of Kazan Iskander Giniyatullin and representatives of the management company of the Privolzhsky district.

Ilsur Metshin stressed that the management company, responsible for cleaning of the yards, should pay special attention to the complaints of residents and continue to work in emergency mode. "In January a lot of snow dropped, and questions and complaints on cleaning yards come from the residents. It is necessary to examine each incoming complaint and monitor the work of each individual company, - said I. Metshin. - Of course, January turned out to be very snowy, but we have to work under these conditions as efficiently as possible".

In general, readiness of housing organizations, which are responsible for cleaning of driveways, entrances and walkways, is provided to work in the winter period. So, 7.3 thousand tons of sand and salt mixture to deal with icing in the city are harvested, and with its consumption reserves will be replenished. Management companies purchased 56 tons of chemical agent. However, as experts note, funds for snow removal to the snow melting points are not provided, so removed snow is stored in the green areas, which is permissible under the current rules of accomplishment of Kazan.

145 units of machinery - tractors with blades and brushes and trucks – are available for cleaning yards for contractors, servicing the housing. In addition, housing organizations have 28 vehicles - so-called snow throwers. As it was said to the Mayor, in the management company of the Privolzhsky district this year 3 new units of special equipment are available.

But still janitors are the main force in the fight against snowfalls, about 1,600 people work now at large management companies. Experts say that there is some lack of janitors in the city, but gradually the situation is leveled - so, in the management company of Privolzhsky disretct there were 250 janitors in the past year, and this year - 277, which significantly affects the quality of cleaning.

In the yard of house №7 at the street Dubravnaya reconstruction was conducted recently, comfortable area for children was established. Residents of nearby houses thanked the Mayor for landscaped yard and told that cleaning of snow is conducted regularly. I. Metshin, in turn, noted the initiative of citizens, at the request of whom a lot of work on landscaping of the yard has been done - except of the playground, roads and sidewalks were upgraded here.

During heavy snowfall employees of management companies pay special attention to and cleaning of roofs from snow and ice build-up. In particular this applies to houses with sloping roofs, which there are more than two thousand in Kazan. Workers of the management company, who have the appropriate skills and are trained to work at height, struggling with it with the help of special equipment. If there would be a particular need, it is planned to attract climbers to this work.

Not without downsides - private vehicles of citizens greatly hamper employees in cleaning yards, both day and night. Citizens leave it along the sidewalks and pedestrian areas, thus making it difficult to work not only for technology, but also to janitors. The Mayor instructed to clean sidewalks and yard areas as much effectively as possible despite these difficulties. "In any situation we should promptly fulfill all our obligations. This concerns not only the export of the snow, but garbage collection and other issues of concern of our citizens,"- said the Mayor.
