Ilsur Metshin held a meeting of Commission on the construction in the historic center

The meeting of the interdepartmental working commission on construction in the historical center of Kazan was held today in the Executive Committee of the city. 12 sites were considered at the commission, chaired by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin. At the end one project was given to be submitted to the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, two projects were sent back for revision, one project was postponed for reconsideration, the remaining projects have been approved.

The commission meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Svetlana Persova, the chief architect of Kazan Tatyana Prokofieva, Assistant to the President of RT Olesya Baltusova, prefect of the territory "Prefecture "Old City" of the Executive Committee of Kazan Marat Usmanov, as well as leading architects of the city.

Among the approved proposals is an expansion of the complex of Galeev mosque of XIX century at st. Tukay in the Old Tatar settlement. "The building of Galeev mosque is already restored. The project involves the construction of two new buildings - buildings for ablution and an administrative building. Both of these objects are needed for operation of the complex"- Tatiana Prokofieva outlined the importance of the project.

The following projects also got the approval: the construction of residential blocked house at st. Nizenkaya and retail and office center at st. Moskovskaya. "In the area of st. ​​Moskovskaya developer plans to build a two-storey retail and office center with parking. The building project, supported by the city-planning council of architecture, fits into the scale of existing range of development ", - said the chief architect of the city.

During the meeting, members of the committee supported the project of reconstruction of administrative buildings at st. Parizhskaya Communa, 18 and 24, buildings of preschool center at st. Mushtari, 22 and 24. The projects are developed in accordance with the existing surrounding buildings and harmoniously fit the style of the historic center.

The project of construction of additional building to the Kazan Research Medical Center of remediation technologies at st. Shalyapin called a number of comments. It is planned to place the training center of additional vocational education of health workers in the new building. According to Tatyana Prokofieva, there are no historic buildings in this place, but good "Stalinist" architecture is kept. Ilsur Metshin noted that the project comes under criticism in terms of the architectural appearance and sent it back for revision.

The commission also discussed issues concerning the construction of the third floor of the Center for Creativity of Kryashens at st. Hudyakov, hotel at st. Ulyanov-Lenin, attached building to the House of Officers at st. Peterburgskaya, 55b, where Kariev Tatar Youth Theater is planned to be located, and other objects.
