of the capital of RT Ilsur Metshin congratulated the freshmen of faculty of law
of the Kazan Federal University with Knowledge Day. Chairman of the Board of
Trustees and a graduate of the faculty of law of KFU addressed the students
with words of encouragement and presented student cards to freshmen, who got 100
points at the united state exam.
Solemn
event for first year students of the law faculty of Kazan Federal University,
dedicated to the Day of knowledge, took place today in CSC "Unix".
Traditionally, for more than 400 students, gathered in the hall, ceremony of holding
student cards, meeting with curators and faculty was organized. The Mayor of
Kazan was the honored guest of the holiday. Vice-Rector of KFU Riyaz Minzaripov
also congratulated students with Knowledge Day.
Addressing
the students with his speech, Ilsur Metshin noted that it is a great honor for
him - to welcome freshmen of the faculty. "It's always exciting to go back
to the walls of native alma mater. I think that each of you is full of emotions
now, "- said the Mayor of Kazan. The Mayor admitted that with the
excitement and joy recalls the early days as a student, when he was getting acquainted
with this legendary university and the oldest law faculty of the country. I.
Metshin stressed that thanks to the experienced professors faculty of law kept
the brand, the bar at the highest level at all times.
He also
recalled that the faculty can be proud of its successful graduates. Thus, the
law faculty of KFU graduated Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, director of the
Office of the President, Lieutenant General Asgat Safarov, head of Investigative
management in the Republic of Tatarstan, Lieutenant General Pavel Nikolaev, Prosecutor
Ildus Nafikov, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan - Minister of Information and
Communication of the Republic of Tatarstan Roman Shaikhutdinov, Minister of
Transport and Roads of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Safin, a number of heads
of districts and many others.
Ilsur
Metshin separately welcomed the freshmen, who came to Kazan at first time. The
Mayor expressed his confidence that the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan
will become their second home. "We will do everything for you to love
Kazan, like we fell in love with it some time ago. Welcome to the capital of
Tatarstan, the 1010-year old city! Let it be the happy city for you all, here
you will get the knowledge, profession, will find friends and maybe find a soul
mate "- the Mayor expressed wishes.
In
addition, the Mayor wished the guys not to be afraid to realize their potential
and talents. "Study is definitely the most important thing that you have to
do in the university. Become the professionals! But live bright, rich and
interesting life", - the head of the city admonished freshmen.

Riyaz
Minzaripov joined to the words of congratulations. He noted that the proud
title of KFU student imposes a lot of responsibility. He also thanked Ilsur
Metshin of attention that the Mayor gives to his duties as Chairman of the
Board of Trustees.
At the end
of the ceremony the Mayor of Kazan and the first vice-rector of the university
solemnly handed student cards to freshmen who received the greatest number of
admission points.
Recall that
in this year's competition in KFU was 13 persons at on one place and the
average score of the exam of high school students rose to 76.2 (in the past -
75.84). The number of children admitted to the KFU can be considered a record
for the university - more than 11,100 persons became its students in this year,
500 more guys will be enrolled in September. Most students dreamed of going to
law faculty of KFU, which is famous for its long tradition and high quality of
education. Average exam point at the faculty of law was almost 88. As the
admissions office of the university notes, this figure is higher than, for
example, for the students of the Higher School of ITIS.
