The biggest school of Tatarstan opened in Kazan

Opening of the educational institution was attended by the Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin. The biggest school in Tatarstan, designed for 1375 children, was built at the intersection of Bondarenko and Absalyamov streets in New Savinovsky district where there are a lot of new buildings and a high population density.

The area of ​​the institution is 28 thousand square meters, with the total grounds - 40 thousand sq.m. "Today we are opening the biggest school in our republic, built to the new, modern standards. For every parent their children's education is the most important thing. I hope the new school will give a competitive edge to children, who will work in the country and abroad ", - said the acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and presented a certificate for the purchase of training equipment to the school.

A celebratory concert was organized for guests, school students and their parents. Then Rustam Minnikhanov and Ilsur Metshin made a short tour of the school. As the director Elvira Naumova told, secondary school №179 in-depth study of specific subjects is built on a special project with separate training blocks for students of different ages. In addition bedrooms, library, recreation area are located in the block of primary school classes. The institution has two sports and assembly halls, dance hall, studio, 25-meter swimming pool and a shooting range.

The primary school curriculum is based on in-depth study of specific subjects - English, mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. In high school classes will be formed by profiles - socio-economic, physical, mathematical, chemical and biological.

A feature of the school №179 will be fact that the process of career counseling will be established at school. Cooperation agreements with several universities of Kazan are already signed. KSMU is recruiting the first "medical" 8th grade, which graduates will have benefit to enroll in university. It is planned to open similar specialized classes is in conjunction with KNRTU-KAI and Chemistry Faculty of K (P) FU. In addition, the school №179 is an experimental platform of Small Academy of Sciences "Intelligence of the Future".

Rustam Minnikhanov and Ilsur Metshin examined a sports ground with a football field, gym, volleyball and basketball.
