Mayor of Kazan met with Consul General of the Turkish Republic
(KZN.RU, February 21, Taisiya Basharkina). Today Mayor of Kazan met with Ahmet Akynty Consul General of the Turkish Republic to Kazan.
Ahmet Akynty is the eighth Consul General from the opening of the Consulate General of Turkey to Kazan. He took up his duties in January 2011. Ilsur Metshin welcomed Ahmet Akynty and congratulated on the beginning of his work.
“Turks take an active part in Tatarstan life. For last decades the Turkish Republic influenced on Tatarstan very much”, the Mayor of Kazan noted. “Many Turkish businesspeople work in Kazan. Turkish companies helped Kazan to prepare for the 1000 anniversary of Kazan, today they build objects for the Universiade and set the pace how one ought to work” , the Mayor explained.
A significant role of Turkey in education: Turkish lyceums in Tatarstan are examples of strict order, discipline, traditions and high educational level. As Ilsur Metshin noted a Turkish player of Rubin Gekdeniz Karadeniz was one of our favorites.
According to Ahmet Akynty, main objects which the Consulate faces are citizens’ support living on the consular district territory, carrying of trade-economic and cultural events, and also networking between authorities and Turkish delegations.
