Prospects
for the development of the Faculty of Law, as well as the results of the Forum
of law faculty’s Graduates, were discussed today at a meeting of the Board of
Trustees under the leadership of Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, the
chairman of the council, and a graduate of the law faculty of the Kazan
University.
Lilia
Bakulina, the dean of the faculty, told that the law school is working on the
introduction of a specialty program in the field of legal protection of
national security. “We filed a package of documents, and now the program is at
the stage of obtaining a license for this area of training specialists”, she
said.
Also, the
issue of employment of graduates was raised at the meeting. Pavel Nikolayev, a
member of the council, the head of the Investigative Directorate of the
Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Tatarstan, noted that
much depends on the desire of the person himself. “We organized the school of
the future investigator. The students are already being trained in it, some are
already working with us”, he said.
Members of
the council discussed the results of the scientific activities of the law
faculty. One of the new projects was the contest “My Ideal Law Faculty-2030”,
within which students will design a strategy for the development of the Law
Faculty.
An
important event in the life of the law faculty was the holding of the Forum of
Graduates, aimed at restoring communication between former students. ldus
Yanyshev, a member of the council, noted that the organizers managed to gather
graduates of several generations for the first time in a 200-year history. “We
gathered more than five hundred graduates at the event venues. The forum has
become a landmark and interesting event”, he noted, thanking the head of the capital
of the RT for his help in organizing the event.

“Juridical science and practice 2.0. A look into the future” began its work on
the day of the meeting in the walls of the KFU. I. Metshin took part in the
opening of the convention, congratulating participants on the University's
anniversary. Today, one of the country's oldest universities celebrates its
212th anniversary.
