In Kazan, an improvement work is underway at 69 yards under the Our Yard program. In the Novo-Savinovsky city district, the yard of houses 77, 79, 81, 83, and 85 on F.Amirkhana Street and 37 Marshala Chuikova Street is being renovated. The fairy tales of the Volga region inspired the designers of the yard. The largest playground complex in the republic will be equipped here, as well as a multi-purpose sports area, a dog-walking area, a mural depicting Su-Anasy, and comfortable recreation areas around the lake. The Mayor Ilsur Metshin inspected the progress of the improvement.
“Under the leadership of the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov the next stage of the Our Yard program has started in Kazan. This year, it is planned to renovate 246 yards, where 100,000 residents reside. The program includes overhaul, landscaping, and decoration, as well as the construction of playgrounds. One of these yards is located in the Novo-Savinovsky district and includes six apartment buildings with 2,300 residents. When planning the work, the district administration and the property management company discuss all the residents' wishes to ensure that their interests are taken into account. The main work is expected to be completed by the City and Republic Day,”- said the Mayor of Kazan.
The yard has an area of more than 34,600 square meters. It was one of the first yards in the city to undergo renovation in 2013. The wooden sculptures of characters from Russian folk tales, including Kolobok, Baga Yaga, a bear, a fox, a wolf, and a hare were installed here, which have become a hallmark of the district.
