The leaders in the number of first-graders have become schoolы № 184 with 423 children and № 185 with 351 children. Schools № 83, 182 and 186, as well as school № 107, will each have 10 first grades. In total, 181,000 children will attend schools this year. On Knowledge Day, the first-graders will receive traditional gifts from Kazan Mayor’s Office. First-graders will receive Diaries of Good Deeds, while second graders will get Diaries of a Young Ecologist. This was announced by Irek Rizvanov, head of the Kazan Education Department, at a meeting in the city's Executive Committee.
“Those who will start their careers in the year 2050 are entering the first grade. It depends on us, the parents and teachers, how they will navigate their way into adulthood. It is crucial to guide them towards creation from the very beginning, so that we do not change our basic traditions and present the Diary of Good Deeds to the first-graders,”- said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan.
The Mayor also urged to pay attention to new teachers: “It is also important to support young teachers. Each new teacher should have a mentor, and these issues should be regularly reviewed”.
The Mayor of Kazan stressed the need for increased safety measures in schools.
