The construction of a new Yaratam youth club has been completed in the
Moskovsky city district. It is equipped with a multifunctional hall, yoga and
choreography rooms, a cyber zone and a co-working area, as well as robotics
room. More than 800 children can visit the sections. Adults can also attend yoga
classes in the center. Today, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov
and the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin visited the center.
“Thanks to the support of the Rais of the republic, we have already repaired
53 out of 66 facilities. We have very little time left to complete the job. At
the same time, we have built a new center. A really great job has been done. I
am glad that our colleagues and children will work in decent conditions,”-
Ilsur Metshin said.
The Yaratam youth club with an area of 1,300 square meters is located at
11a Korolenko Street. On the ground floor there is an office, a cloakroom and a
multifunctional hall. According to Ekaterina Sogrina, director of the MBU Podrostok,
the space is completely open to the imagination of students. Various events,
quizzes, strategy sessions, vocal marathons will be held here.
The rooms for robotics, yoga and choreography classes are located on the
second floor. There is also a cyber room and a co-working area, an office of
applied creativity. Young mothers will be able to practice yoga and dancing. There
is a mini-cafe with an electronic panel for children.
Young people are already gathering in the corridors of the club for
guitar lessons. Rustam Minnikhanov met with the team that is preparing for the
upcoming performance. The children thanked the Rais of Tatarstan for the new
space for their rehearsals – they had previously gathered in the library № 13.
Yaratam also has its own outdoor terrace on the third floor – this is
one of the features of the club. In summer, teenagers will be able to gather
here and arrange film screenings or play music.
The educational center for training mentors is located on the third floor
and has the motto “We make mentors for young people with love”. Today they were
told how to design educational programs. In the future, it is planned to train
teenagers who work with grants on the basis of the center”.
“It's even unexpected. The complex looks very modern and comfortable for
learning and leisure,”- Rustam Minnikhanov highly appreciated the results.
Previously, 20 abandoned garages were located on this site, the site was
cleared and the necessary utilities were laid, said Sergey Mironov, head of the
administration of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky city districts.
“We made this club with love.
They lived with them for six months. I hope that teenagers will develop, study
and spend their free time here,”- said Aliya Zagidullina, head of the Committee
on Children and Youth Affairs.
“Each room is multipurpose, because even in the cyber room there will be
training in programming, graphic and web design. We tried to make the center as
modern as possible,”- Ekaterina Sogrina said.
