Renovation of six houses and landscaping of the adjacent territory under
the Our Yard republican program have been completed on Yash Kych Street in the Privolzhsky
city district. A repair of utilities basement, roof and facades was carried out,
the lighting systems and small architectural forms were installed. In addition
to the main works, thanks to the property management company, a playground was
equipped on the territory of the houses, birdhouses were installed, as well as
wheel breakers at the entrances. Together with the residents, a massive
landscaping was carried out on the territory – 58 trees and 120 shrubs were
planted.
The repair work was inspected by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin. The
residents of the nearby houses contributed to the improvement of territory with
a total area of 5.6 thousand square meters with three public gardens.
“I know that you grew fruits, vegetables, planted shrubs and trees.
Thank you for actively participating in our teamwork. We are grateful that you
are not indifferent to the landscaping of the yard,”- Ilsur Metshin addressed
the residents.
The houses are located next to an industrial area, but this did not
prevent the territory from being cozy. The residents did not stand aside and
took an active part in the work. The flowerbeds were improved together with the
administration of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts, the property management
company and architects. Residents plant cucumbers, tomatoes, potatoes,
zucchini, carrots, apples and even cherries with raspberries.
Previously, 26 trees grew on the territory, now their number has
increased significantly.
“Additionally, 58 trees were planted at the request of residents. Among
them are linden, spruce, juniper, poplar. They are numbered. This is done for inventory
– the types and condition of trees are recorded in the statement. Also, 120
shrubs (barberry, spirea) appeared on the territory,”- said Albert Salikhov,
head of the administration of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts.
The asphalt pavement of the roadway and sidewalks, the lighting system
were updated in the yard. In addition, new benches, a playground and even
birdhouses were installed, and wheel stoppers appeared at the entrances. Also,
the number of parking spaces has been increased for residents – from 21 to 28.
In a conversation with the Mayor, residents asked to install a new
traffic light and open parks and squares nearby.
“A river port with a large embankment will be improved nearby. Its total
length will be 12.6 km. The work has already begun. Now we are trying to get
financing for next year in order to improve the first 2.6 km long section along
the new houses. And we will install a traffic light shortly,”- the Mayor
promised. For reference, a large-scale renovation project of the territory on Portovaya
Street, which involves the construction of 1.5 million square meters of housing
and an embankment, is planned to be implemented within 10 years.
“I've been living here since the beginning. The place has changed
completely, now it is beautiful. We are very happy,”- one of the residents
shared.
In total, almost 200 people live in six houses built in 1994-1996.
