A diverse summer program has started in the public spaces of Kazan, which will run until the end of September. “It is great that the number and quality of events is growing, and there are more and more people who want to come to parks and squares every year. The Directorate is updating the program of events, we will participate in them and keep them under control”, - Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, said today at the Business Monday meeting.
New activities of this summer season are swaps, sunsets and sessions with psychologists
The program includes new projects – a Young Dog Handler class, which is designed to help citizens to take care of pets at home. The class will be held in two shifts – in the Black Lake Park and the Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky Forest. At the same time, the Give a Paw campaign will continue in the parks, where you can choose a pet and take it home.
A series of swaps will be held in the parks of the districts, where participants will be able to swap different things.
For the first time, a stand-up night will take place on July 10 in the Black Lake Park.
The Street Art festival will be held to solve the issues of vandalism in parks. On the Ak Chachaklar Boulevard, everyone will be able to paint the art objects together with Kazan graffiti artists.
A new event will be the viewing the sunsets in picturesque places of the city- on the Kazanka Embankment, at the Kazan Family Center, in the Black Lake Park and at the beach of Komsomolskoye Lake.
An open-air party will be held on the Kazanka Embankment section under the Millennium Bridge in July with DJ sets, a market and a food court.
From May to September, sports and creative classes in the Tatar language “Harakatte – barakat” will be held in six parks of the city. The first event is scheduled for May 26 on the embankment of Kaban Lake.
Various events will be held on the embankments of Kazanka under the “Kazanka River Development Strategy program”- the city laboratory “Citizen-Scientist”, a beach volleyball court with the VC Zenit, as well as petanque games. Ecological trip with riverbed cleaning and SUP-board yoga will be organized.
Open sessions with psychologists will take place in the Black Lake Park this summer.
The best projects of the past years will become traditional
On May 3, a drive-in theater started working at the Kazan Family Center – screenings of films will take place twice a month. On the same day, the Dance Floor traditional summer project started in the Kryliya Sovetov Park. A new season of outdoor screenings “Retro Thursday” will open here this week. Morning yoga classes have already begun on the embankment of Kaban Lake, and combo workouts have already begun on the observation deck of the Kazan Family Center.
In July, a cozy jazz evening will take place in the Lyadskoy Garden, and in August, the Day of the City and the Republic will be celebrated on the embankment of Kaban Lake with the event “Milli Kiyem”. “This is a city tradition that we plan to renew this year”, - shared the Acting Director of the Directorate of Parks and Squares of Kazan.
The gastronomic festivals will take place again in Gorky Park and in the Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky forest. There will be an ice cream festival and a Grill fest.
Film screenings and open lectures on Tatar literature will soon be launched on the embankment of Kaban Lake.
For the fifth time on May 28, a public vegetable garden will open in the Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky forest. The visitors will plant flowers, vegetables or berries, take care of them throughout the summer, and harvest in the fall. There will be two shifts of an eco-camp for children in the Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky forest.
