(KZN.RU, August 10). Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, congratulated the builders of the republic on their professional holiday Builder's Day.

Celebrations dedicated to the Builder’s Day took place the day before at the GTRK “Korston” in Kazan.

Mintimer Shaimiev, the State Councilor to the RT, Rustam Nigmatullin, an acting prime minister of the RT, Asgat Safarov, the head of the Presidential Administration of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and other officials attended the event.

Addressing the participants of the ceremony, the representatives of the construction organizations of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that the building sphere of the republic includes about 80-90 thousand people.

Last year, the volume of construction and installation work amounted to about 350 billion rubles, marked Rustam Minnikhanov. “I want to thank you for the significant contribution that you make to the development of the economy of the republic. It is both industrial construction and the construction of socio-cultural facilities. Today, about 40 programs are being implemented in the construction of social and cultural facilities in Tatarstan”, said the President of the RT.

The implementation of national projects also provides great support in the creation of social infrastructure aimed at creating comfortable conditions for the life of Tatarstan residents. First of all, it is the construction of housing, the creation of public spaces, the construction of schools and kindergartens.

“The construction complex of the republic must meet the most modern requirements. An important component is educational programs, training of qualified personnel”, said Rustam Minnikhanov.

The President of the RT addressed words of gratitude to the leaders of construction organizations, representatives of all construction collectives. He wished all workers in the construction industry health, well-being, and new bright achievements for the good of the republic.

Since 2011, about 2.4 million square meters of housing are commissioned annually in the republic (in 2018 – 2 409.9 thousand square meters or 100.1% of the level of 2017). According to this indicator, Tatarstan takes 4th place in Russia according to the results of the first half of this year, (1 place – the Moscow Oblast, 2 – Moscow, 3 – Krasnodar Territory) and 1 place in the Volga Federal District.
