Today, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, the President of the Eurasian Branch of the World Organization “United Cities and Local Governments”, met with Emilia Saiz, the Secretary General of the World Organization UCLG, who is in the capital of Tatarstan on an official visit. The meeting took place in the Executive Committee of the city. Evgeny Lodvigova, the First Vice-Mayor of Kazan, and Rasikh Sagitov, the Secretary General of the Eurasian section of UCLG, attended the meeting.
Welcoming the guest, I. Metshin reminded that the last time such a meeting was held at the meeting of the Executive Bureau of the UCLG World Organization. It took place in the capital of Tatarstan in 2016 on the eve of the Third World Summit of local and regional governments.
“Welcome to Kazan! Almost 3 years have passed since your last visit to our city. We are glad to see you in a good mood again”, I. Metshin greeted the guest. Emilia Saiz noted that she was very pleased to have the opportunity to visit the winter Kazan and hoped to see the main city sights.
An extensive program in the capital of Tatarstan has been prepared for the guest. In particular, E. Saiz will visit the office of the Eurasian regional branch of UCLG, see the main sights of the capital of Tatarstan, and go on tours in the Kazan Kremlin, the City Hall, and the Kremlin Embankment.
