(KZN.RU,
January 23). The reports of the heads of the structural units of the Executive
Committee to the Mayor of the city started in Kazan. Ilnar Khidiyatov, the head
of the Department of Education, reported on the work done and plans for the
current year to Ilsur Metshin. In particular, he spoke about the development of
engineering direction in schools, the new project for improving the
qualifications of school headmasters and head teachers “Vector Uspekha” and the
creation of 138 school volleyball teams at the beginning of the current school
year.
In his report,
Ilnar Khidiyatov spoke in detail about the quality of school education. One of
the main indicators are the results of the USE, in particular, in two mandatory
subjects for schoolchildren: mathematics and Russian. The head of the
Department of Education noted that the average score in mathematics in Kazan
today is 57.5; this is the second result in million-population cities. And the
average score in Russian has increased from 55.8 to 74.5 points over the past
ten years. According to the results of the last academic year, the number of
excellent students in Kazan has doubled to 89. Moreover, eight of them received
100 points in two or more subjects.
Kazan holds
the third place in the number of winners and prize-winners of the All-Russian
School Olympiad not for the first year. Kazan is second after Moscow by the
number of olympiadists in the total amount of schoolchildren.
I.
Khidiyatov mentioned the results of work of 7 centers of education, created a
year ago by uniting low-performing and successful schools. At the end of the
year, successful schools not only did not lose their positions, but also
significantly helped low-performing schools. If before the unification, 600
students of these schools studied in the second shift, now there are only 130 on
them.
In addition
to the compulsory curriculum, the school is ready to provide different vectors
for the development of abilities. The engineering direction will be a new one
from this year. The Mayor of Kazan supported this initiative. “Once in a conversation
with one designer, he told me that one cannot be born a designer, but become
one in children’s technical sections. This is not just leisure, it is the
formation of future designers”, said Ilsur Metshin.
A lot of
attention is paid to health-saving technologies and sports development. In this
academic year, in addition to the already familiar hockey, football and
basketball school teams, 138 volleyball teams were created thanks to the
establishment of the School Volleyball League in Kazan under the supervision of
Farid Mukhametshin, the chairman of the State Council, the President of the
Tatarstan Volleyball Federation.
Ilnar
Khidiyatov noted the results of the overhaul program of educational
institutions. 141 schools and 36 kindergartens have been overhauled in Kazan
since 2012. In addition, 3 schools and 11 kindergartens are under construction.
Another 20 kindergartens are planned to be constructed in 2020-2021.
Last year,
8 special groups for children with disabilities were opened in kindergartens.
In total, 21317 children went to kindergartens in 2018. The problem of lack of
places still remains acute. This year 1100 additional places will be created
for children.
I.
Khidiyatov said that in 2018, a new project was launched to improve the skills
of heads of educational institutions “Vector Uspekha“.Courses are designed for
young managers with work experience of up to 3 years, for managers with
experience of 3 and 10 years.
Galina
Nazipova, the headmistress of school №39, and Irek Rizvanov, the headmaster of
school №2, were recognized as the best school headmasters in the RT in 2018.
